Johns Hopkins has two binding Early Decision rounds: ED I closes on 1 November with decisions on 11 December, and ED II closes on 3 January with decisions on 12 February, according to the 2025-26 Common Data Set. The Common Data Set combines them: 835 of 7,639 ED applicants were admitted for fall 2025 (10.9%) and 825 of 7,028 for fall 2024 (11.7%); the fall 2023 ED counts are blank. ED admits made up 27% of all fall 2025 admits (835 of 3,072). The early pool is self-selected, so the ED rate should not be read as the effect of applying early.

International applicants were admitted at 3.8% for fall 2025 (404 of 10,705), against 4.7% for Maryland residents and 7.0% for out-of-state US applicants; the international rate was 4.5% for fall 2024 and 4.9% for fall 2023. Of the 1,359 students who accepted a wait-list place for fall 2025, 247 were admitted (18.2%), far more than the 30 admitted for fall 2024. Transfer admission is very selective: 119 of 2,468 applicants for fall 2025 (4.8%).

It does not publish a figure on the 0–120 TOEFL scale.
