Today, we are going to discuss how successful software and tech products are launched and marketed. When companies launch and market these products, early adopters are important. Early adopters are customers who tend to buy the latest products and like to be the first to try out new features and processes. In today's discussion, I would like you to describe at least one advantage or disadvantage of being an early adopter. Please explain why you think this way.
Student A
One obvious disadvantage is that early adopters probably pay a lot more for brand-new technology. When products first come out, they're often quite expensive, but once they've been on the market for a while, the price usually drops. That's why I usually wait to buy new technology.
Student B
New tech products might not always be more expensive. sometimes the company will give people a new product at a discount in exchange for trying it out and giving feedback on it. In fact, to me, that's the biggest advantage of being an early adopter--your feedback can guide future improvements to a product. That's a powerful feeling.

In my perspective, early adopters are risk-takers. Often, early adopters purchase the new digital devices that are not been widely tested, which means it is highly likely for consumers to buy a defective product that requires a long time to repair. Furthermore, there is less information about newly-launched products. For this reason, individuals would find it difficult to make well-informed decisions, leading to financial loss. Although Claire mentioned the discount offered for new products, she fail to elaborate on the rapid depreciation of technological products. To be more specific, innovative products occur every month, leading to a discount in old product. Then people can enjoy a more desirable price after waiting a short period of time.

Section Title: 6
Revised Essay: In my opinion, early adopters embody a sense of daring and adventure. These individuals often purchase cutting-edge technological devices that have not yet undergone extensive testing, potentially resulting in the acquisition of a faulty product that necessitates time-consuming repairs. Moreover, the limited information available about newly-launched products can hinder consumers from making well-informed decisions, thereby increasing the likelihood of financial loss. While Claire touched upon the discounts offered for new products, she neglected to address the rapid depreciation inherent in technology. Specifically, with innovations emerging on a monthly basis, older products quickly become discounted. Consequently, by exercising patience and waiting for a brief period, consumers can enjoy more attractive pricing on these items. (119 words)
