Professor
This week, we will be looking at how consumers feel about their purchases of technology. Many people find that buying devices such as mobile phones or personal computers can be very difficult. They feel like they're not prepared to make the best decision to suit their needs. In your posts, I want you to discuss the following question: What do you believe is the biggest mistake that people make when buying tech products? Explain what this mistake is.
Student A
I think one problem is that people don't match the product's capabilities to their actual needs. My brother just got a new mobile phone, and he is very excited about how highly rated the camera is. But he hardly ever takes photos. So he paid for a feature that he doesn't really need.
Student B
When people buy a new piece of hardware, like a laptop, they often don't consider the software they are purchasing along with the hardware. If the software is not what you are used to or doesn't work with your existing files, it can be frustrating to learn a new way of using your laptop.

From my perspepctive, I think it's that customers put too much trust in online information. Information from media is mostly commerical advertisements to trump up the desirable qualties of the products with disclosing their downsides. For example, an advertisement for a smart phone may cliam its battery can last up to 24hs without stating the fact that it is achieved with minimal application running and screen light. However, people are just attracted by its long-lasting battery without thinking thoroughly. Plus, many people tend to turn to recommendations that other users posted online. But they haven't thought that these recommendations might be fake.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, the most significant mistake consumers make when purchasing tech products is placing excessive trust in online information. Often, media sources present commercial advertisements that highlight the appealing features of a product without disclosing its drawbacks. For instance, a smartphone advertisement may boast a 24-hour battery life but fail to mention that this is only achievable with minimal app usage and low screen brightness. Consequently, buyers are lured by these seemingly impressive features without conducting thorough research. Additionally, individuals frequently rely on online recommendations from other users without considering the possibility of fabricated reviews. This overreliance on potentially misleading information can lead to dissatisfaction and regret in their tech purchases. (117 words)
