Our current unit looks at tourism and the benefit it has on a country’s economy. Many argue that while tourism can indeed be a money-making endeavor, it can do more harm than good, especially tourism to small, remote places that are not heavily populated. What is your opinion? Should local or national governments promote tourism to remote regions not typically visited by tourists before? Why?
Andrew
Tourism has always been a lucrative business. Improving the economies of these rural regions, especially if those regions are poor, can only have a positive effect. People can have a better quality of life by showcasing their food and traditions to the outside world. It’s a chance the people might not get without promotion from the government.
Claire
I don’t think governments should promote tourism to remote regions. The people are likely not asking for this kind of industry or for this kind of attention. Instead, governments should develop other means of improving a region's economic situation, like expanding agriculture or other industries. These efforts will have a stronger, more permanent impact on the region than bringing in groups of tourists.

Admittedly, I agrre with Andrew that tourism is a sunstantial way to promote ecnomics. Because with tourists flooding in, agricultrual products are selling out which greatly improves the life of local people. However, I doubt that the following results outweigh the economical profits. In my opinion, remote regions should not rely on tourism for development. For one thing, the ecosystems in mountains and villages are frigile, and too many tourists contributes to environment pollution which cannot be reversed in a long time. For another, remote regions often accommadate a small population and they live in a harmony. The boost of tourism is likely to disturb their peaceful life. Therefore, I think tourism is not the best choice for remote regions.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
While I acknowledge Andrew's perspective that tourism can significantly contribute to a region's economic growth, I believe that promoting tourism in remote areas may not be the most sustainable approach. Indeed, an influx of tourists can boost local agricultural sales and improve the quality of life for residents. However, potential negative consequences should also be considered. Fragile ecosystems in remote regions could suffer irreversible damage due to increased pollution and human activity. Additionally, these areas often have small populations living harmoniously, and a sudden surge in tourism might disrupt their peaceful existence. Consequently, I argue that alternative development strategies should be explored for remote regions rather than relying solely on tourism. (116 words)

6.文章修订
I agree with Claire's perspective that governments should not prioritize promoting tourism in remote regions. Firstly, these areas are often less developed than urban centers, and the primary focus should be on improving the fundamental economic situation through measures such as expanding agriculture, establishing industries, and strengthening social welfare. Although tourism promotion could generate revenue, it may not be the most effective approach.
Moreover, increased tourism could lead to environmental issues such as pollution, littering, and noise disturbances for local residents. Additionally, governments should explore alternative methods to enhance a region's economic situation without compromising its natural resources or cultural heritage.
In summary, while tourism may bring some economic benefits to remote regions, it is crucial for governments to focus on sustainable development and consider alternative ways to improve the local economy without causing harm to the environment or disrupting the lives of local residents. (146 words)

I agree with Claire that governments should not promote tourism to remote regions, because people in these regions may not ask for this kind of industry. I would add that, developing tourism is totally difficult for a remote region. I mean, it based on a high-level transport. If people could not arrive in the region with convenient vehicles, it is difficult for them to have a intention and make a travel plan to this region. As a result, the money which have spent to the tourism will be wasted. Based on this reason, I believe that it is not a good idea for governments to promote tourism to remote regions.

In concurrence with Claire, I believe that governments should refrain from promoting tourism in remote regions, as the inhabitants of these areas may not desire such an industry. Furthermore, establishing a thriving tourism sector in these isolated locations can be quite challenging due to the necessity for advanced transportation infrastructure. Without convenient access to these regions, potential visitors may be deterred from planning trips and ultimately contributing to the local economy. Consequently, resources allocated to promoting tourism could be squandered. For these reasons, I maintain that it is unwise for governments to encourage tourism in remote areas. (102 words)

In my opinion, I concur with Claire's viewpoint that it's not a sensible and feasible strategy for governments to promote tourism as its main foundation of economic growth. Firstly, with many unexpected side effects, tourism can exert baneful and far-reach impact on both the natural and residential environment of the city. For instance, plastic garbage thrown by the tourists can pose a grave threat to the ecological habitats of many species of wild animals, leading to harmful consequences in the development of natural world. Secondly, despite the popularity gained by the tourism, the increasing population will bring much noise to the city, which can be really annoying for the local citizens, causing even mental and psychological healthy problems. Therefore, even though, as is proposed by Andrew, the promotion of tourism is beneficial to the economic prosperity to the city, its negative effects outweigh the advantages, leaving behind potential and profound risks in the city's sustainable growth.

6.文章修订
In my opinion, I agree with Claire's perspective that promoting tourism as the primary foundation for economic growth is neither sensible nor feasible. Firstly, tourism can have detrimental and far-reaching consequences on both the natural and residential environments of a region. For example, plastic waste discarded by tourists may pose a severe threat to the ecological habitats of various wildlife species, leading to adverse effects on the natural world. Secondly, despite the economic benefits brought by tourism, an increased population may introduce significant noise pollution to the area, which can be highly disruptive for local residents and potentially cause mental and psychological health issues.
Although Andrew argues that promoting tourism can improve a region's economy and provide opportunities for locals to showcase their culture and traditions, I believe that the negative effects outweigh the advantages. Instead of focusing solely on tourism, governments should explore alternative methods for fostering economic growth in remote regions, such as expanding agriculture or other industries. By doing so, they can ensure more sustainable development while minimizing potential risks associated with excessive tourism. (178 words)

Bài Mẫu Của Người Dùng
From my perspective, it is not advisable for government to promote tourism to remote regions. Although the strategy could have some positive impacts on increasing revenue, like what Andrew suggests, I believe that the drawbacks might outweigh the advantages. This is because first and foremost, when it comes to develop a region, it is more reasonable to consider what is appropriate for it based on its unique characteristics and specific needs, instead of taking tourism as the only way to become prosper. In addition, remote areas are usually of poor eco-system, leading to a fragile natural environment. For example, there are some island with volcanoes that is quite remote and full of beautiful sceneries, making it perfect for tourism, however the animals and plants could not bare living with too many people. Thus, it is likely to be destroyed by the over development resulted from tourism. Therefore, I strongly hold the opinion that government should not bring tourism to remote regions.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, promoting tourism to remote regions by local or national governments is not a prudent approach. While tourism may generate revenue, as Andrew suggests, I believe the potential drawbacks outweigh the benefits. A more reasonable strategy for developing a region would be to consider its unique characteristics and specific needs, rather than solely relying on tourism for prosperity. Furthermore, remote areas often possess delicate ecosystems and fragile natural environments. For instance, certain remote islands with volcanic landscapes may offer picturesque scenery ideal for tourism; however, their native flora and fauna may not be able to withstand an influx of visitors. Consequently, these environments could suffer irreparable damage due to overdevelopment resulting from tourism. Hence, I firmly maintain that governments should refrain from introducing tourism to remote regions. (134 words)

In my opinion, I believe tourism should be promoted in rural areas, because it can both bring much development of life quality as well as the capital to deal with environmental problems. To be specific, developing tourism helps the rural towns to attract more people coming there and purchasing products, providing much job opportunities for local residents. Take some agricultural village for example, they can set up the garden and allow visitors to experience how to pick the fruits, which is fascinating to city residents. This approach will help the local people and government to earn more money, and some part of them can be used to deal with pollution caused by the tourism. Still, some may argue that the rural area should be completely protected and thus no environmental problems occur. However, residents there have the right to live more prosperously, as well as living in a clean environment. Only possessing enough money do they have the ability to address the potential environmental issues.

Section Title: The Impact of Tourism on Rural Regions
In my opinion, promoting tourism in rural areas can significantly contribute to the improvement of the local quality of life and provide the necessary resources to address environmental concerns.
Specifically, fostering tourism in rural regions attracts visitors who are likely to spend money on local products and experiences, thereby creating job opportunities for residents. For instance, an agricultural village might establish a garden where visitors can participate in fruit-picking activities, which would be particularly appealing to urban dwellers. This approach not only generates income for the local community and government but also allows them to allocate a portion of the revenue towards mitigating any pollution caused by tourism.
Admittedly, some argue that rural areas should remain untouched to prevent environmental issues from arising. However, it is essential to recognize that residents in these regions have the right to pursue prosperity while maintaining a clean environment. With sufficient financial resources generated through tourism, they will be better equipped to address potential environmental challenges effectively. (172 words)

From my perspective, it will definitely do more harm than good, if the governments blindly promote the tourism to the remote areas. To begin with, I wholeheartedly concur with Claire’s statement that the idea of residents should be taken into account. If people there have no interest in tourism, the promotion of government will be less effective, getting half the result with double efforts. In addition, only if there is something attractive for tourists to consume can tourism promote the economy there. However, most places have few attractive things. Moreover, a wonderful trip can not do without convenient transportation and basic infrastructure which some rural areas are lacking in. Last summer, I went on a trip with my friends to rural areas around my hometown. Beyond my expectations, the supply of water and electricity is quite poor which made me unable to engage in the travel. All in all, never should governments blindly promote the tourism to rural areas. If the governments want to promote the economy, adjusting measures to local conditions should be prioritized.

Title: 6 文章修订
In my opinion, promoting tourism in remote areas without careful consideration may cause more harm than good. I wholeheartedly agree with Claire's argument that the desires of local residents should be taken into account. If the people in these regions are not interested in tourism, government promotion will be less effective and potentially counterproductive.
Furthermore, successful tourism relies on having attractions that appeal to visitors and stimulate economic growth. However, many remote areas may lack such attractions. Additionally, a positive travel experience often depends on convenient transportation and well-developed infrastructure, which some rural regions might not possess. For instance, during a trip to rural areas around my hometown last summer, I encountered poor water and electricity supply, which significantly hindered my enjoyment of the journey.
In conclusion, governments should not blindly promote tourism in rural areas. Instead, they must prioritize adapting their strategies to suit local conditions and preferences while exploring alternative methods for economic development such as expanding agriculture or other industries. This approach will likely yield more sustainable and positive outcomes for these regions. (179 words)
