Como funciona a conversão de pontuação do TOEFL?

O TOEFL iBT 2026 utiliza uma escala de bandas de 1 a 6, com incrementos de 0,5. Para converter uma pontuação antiga do TOEFL (0–120), divida por 20 e arredonde para o 0,5 mais próximo. Por exemplo, uma nota de 100 corresponde à Banda 5,0, equivalente a IELTS 7,0–7,5 e nível CEFR C1.

Como Funciona a Pontuação do TOEFL em 2026

O TOEFL aprimorado, lançado em 2026, adota uma escala de bandas de 1 a 6 no lugar do sistema tradicional de 0 a 120. Esse novo modelo aproxima o TOEFL de frameworks internacionais de idiomas, como o CEFR.

Pontuações por Seção

Cada seção — Leitura, Listening, Escrita e Speaking — recebe uma banda de 1,0 a 6,0, com incrementos de 0,5.

Pontuação Geral

A pontuação geral do TOEFL é a média das quatro seções, arredondada para a banda de 0,5 mais próxima.

Fórmula de Conversão

Nova Banda = Pontuação Antiga ÷ 20 (arredondada para o 0,5 mais próximo)

Exemplo: uma pontuação antiga de 87 → 87 ÷ 20 = 4,35 → arredondada para Banda 4,5 (IELTS 6,5, CEFR B2+)
