The TOEFL iBT 2026 uses a 1–6 band scale in 0.5 increments. Each section (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing) receives a band score from 1.0 to 6.0, and the overall score is the average of the four sections rounded to the nearest 0.5. Band 6.0 is the highest possible score.
