This week, we’ll be discussing how technological advances are transforming the job market, making some jobs unnecessary. Let’s focus on government actions. Suppose the government had to choose between two ways in which to support people whose jobs are no longer needed. The government could either give them enough money to live on until they find new jobs or offer them free job training without giving them money directly. Which of these two solutions do you think is better? Why?
Andrew
I believe that the government should prioritize providing free job training opportunities. Modern training programs are usually costly, which means that many people will not be able to afford them without the government’s funding. By participating in training programs, people will develop new, in-demand skills and become more competitive in the job market.
Kelly
Although I agree that having access to free training programs sounds promising, I think the government’s first step should be to give people enough money to live on until they find new jobs. This money will go directly into people’s pockets and allow them to make their own choices concerning their future.

I concur with Andrew's perspective that the government should prioritize offering job training courses to individuals. Expanding on his viewpoint, I would like to emphasize the benefits for rural citizens.
Specifically, individuals in rural areas or the countryside may have limited access to job opportunities due to less advanced development compared to urban regions. The government should make substantial financial investments in developing industries in these areas, which would significantly benefit local residents.
For instance, instead of providing young people with money directly, the government should place a high priority on rural development. By utilizing local environmental resources and unique advantages, more job training courses can be created. This approach would enhance the professional skills of local individuals who may lack sufficient education.
Ultimately, I firmly believe that the government should concentrate on fostering education and skill development rather than merely providing financial assistance. (147 words)

In my opinion, offering free job training to support those whose jobs are unnecessary is a more constructive solution, particularly when considering its long-lasting benefits. As the old saying goes, teaching one to fish is better than giving him fish. People can live on these skills their whole lives, while financial support only can solve short-term problems. Still, some may argue that people are urged to have money to support their lives before finding their new jobs. However, since they have been working until being fired because of the development of technology, it seems that they at least have enough money to live on for a short while. The most pressing thing for them is to find a new job equivalent to their former one so that their lives won't suffer great changes. To sum up, the opportunity to improve ourselves with in-demand skills is more precious than money. The former will become more valuable while the latter will run out with the time passing by.

In my opinion, providing free job training for individuals whose positions have become obsolete is a more effective approach, particularly when considering its long-term benefits. As the adage goes, it is better to teach someone to fish than to simply give them fish. Acquiring new skills can sustain individuals throughout their lives, whereas financial assistance only addresses short-term issues.
Some may argue that individuals need immediate financial support to maintain their livelihoods before securing new employment. However, given that these individuals were employed until technological advancements rendered their jobs unnecessary, it is likely that they possess some financial resources to rely on temporarily. The most crucial aspect for them is securing a new position comparable to their previous one in order to maintain stability in their lives.
In conclusion, the opportunity to enhance one's abilities with in-demand skills holds greater value than monetary support. Over time, the former becomes increasingly valuable while the latter inevitably depletes. (159 words)

In my perspective, I concur with Andrew's viewpoint that providing free job training opportunities plays a significant role in bettering the current situation of unemployment, as citizens are encouraged to master useful skill sets to fit in the changing world. Expanding on Andrew's argument, I would like to propose that people can also possess a strengthened sense of achievement by participating in a free training organized by labor market. To elaborate, by grasping knowledge from all walks of life, people are able to strengthen their belief that they are still valuable to their family and society, so that they can create tremendous value when there are possible opportunities. For instance, during the unemployment in 2019, I took part in a training organized by the Beijing government regularly. By learning Python, I had a comprehensive understanding of data analysis, which helped me to get rid of depressed feelings that I had before, and enabled me to acquire a data analysis job with high salaries at TikTok company. While Kelly raises a valid point regarding people should be offered with money so that they can make their own decisions about their future, it is crucial for governments to reinforce people's own abilities, which allows them to adapt to a series of occupations, thereby obtaining a long-term success.

Esempio Utente
I believe that offering job opportunities and related training takes priority over solely giving money to those people who are out of jobs, since it is the ability to work that fundamentally guarantees one individual to lead a healthy life instead of the money itself. To elaborate, job training enables people to master a skill to earn themselves a living, while a single amount of money does not make much change to one's life since it could probably be spent quickly, and what is worse, be spent on some unnecessary entertainment such as wine and cigeratte. Still, a vioce arise that government shall directly pay people money, enabling them to make their own choices. However, this suggestion does not consider government's finacial ability to support huge amounts of money, which may results in a fruitless investment.

Prioritizing Job Training Over Financial Assistance
In my opinion, prioritizing job training opportunities for those who have lost their jobs due to technological advancements is more beneficial than merely providing financial assistance. This is because the development of valuable skills through training ultimately ensures an individual's ability to sustain a healthy life, rather than relying solely on temporary monetary support.
Job training equips individuals with the necessary skills to secure employment and earn a living, whereas one-time financial assistance may be quickly depleted and potentially spent on non-essential items such as alcohol or cigarettes. By focusing on job training, the government invests in long-term solutions that promote self-sufficiency and adaptability in an ever-changing job market.
While some argue that direct financial support allows individuals to make their own choices regarding their future, this perspective overlooks the government's limited resources and potential for fruitless investments. By allocating funds towards comprehensive job training programs, the government can effectively contribute to sustainable employment opportunities and overall economic growth. (168 words)

To elaborate, job training enables people to master a skill to earn themselves a living, living (rephrased for clarity), while a single amount of money does not make much change to one's life since it could probably be spent quickly, and what is worse, be spent on some unnecessary entertainment such as wine and cigeratte. cigarettes (clarified examples).
Still, a vioce arise voice arises (corrected spelling) that government shall directly pay people money, enabling them to make their own choices. Due to the development of technology, some careers, which are simply require efforts of laboyr, will soon be replaced. As the government chooses a way to give a solution to this, I concur with Kelly's stance on its benefits. To begin with, training programs are capable of replenishing labour force for the country in the future. People, whose job will disappear in the future , are able to acquire new skills if they learn carefully in the program. Furthermore, this will make the country cultivate talents, thus indicating that the nation can resist the risks, which happened during the transformation of industry. On the contrary, these people, who have been fired during the structure unemployment period, will take no action or puts no efforts on finding a work to do if the government chooses to offer some money until they get a job.

In light of the technological advancements rendering certain jobs obsolete, I concur with Kelly's perspective on the government's role in addressing this issue. Providing financial support to individuals who have lost their jobs due to these changes is a more effective approach than solely offering free job training programs. By receiving monetary assistance, people can maintain their livelihoods while exploring various career paths and making informed decisions about their futures. Additionally, this approach empowers individuals to take responsibility for their own professional development and encourages them to actively seek new opportunities. While job training programs are undoubtedly valuable, they should be implemented as a complementary measure rather than the sole solution to address the challenges posed by the evolving job market. Firstly, offering free job training helps the exact people who deserve to be helped. While it may sound attractive to hand out free money to the unemployed, some people may take advantage of this policy and indulge their money on leisure activities or even drugs. This is extremely unfair to the taxpayers because the government's expenses would then be passed onto the working class who are charged with heavy taxation. On the other hand, providing free training allows hard-working individuals to embark on promising career paths, leading to self-sufficient lives. Therefore, it is of the best interest to promote free training classes that are targeted towards people who would acquire in-demand skills in the job market.

I firmly believe that the government should prioritize offering free job training to unemployed individuals instead of providing them with direct financial support. While Kelly's argument about giving people money to make their own choices has merit, I contend that free job training presents a more sustainable and economically viable solution.
By investing in job training programs, the government can equip people with in-demand skills, making them more competitive in the job market and ultimately contributing to the nation's economic growth. This approach not only helps individuals secure stable employment but also increases tax revenue for the government, which can then be used to fund other essential services. Furthermore, as Andrew mentioned, modern training programs can be costly, and without government assistance, many people may not have access to these opportunities.
Additionally, providing direct financial support could potentially lead to abuse of the system and create a culture of dependency. In contrast, offering free job training promotes self-sufficiency and personal development among unemployed individuals. By focusing on equipping people with valuable skills rather than simply providing monetary aid, the government can foster a more productive workforce and contribute to long-term economic stability.
In conclusion, while both approaches have their merits, I believe that free job training is a more effective and sustainable solution for addressing unemployment caused by technological advancements. This strategy not only empowers individuals to take control of their career paths but also benefits society as a whole by promoting economic growth and reducing dependency on government assistance. I firmly advocate for the government to prioritize offering free job training to unemployed individuals rather than providing them with direct financial support. While Kelly's argument that direct financial assistance empowers people to make their own choices holds merit, the long-term benefits of free job training outweigh the short-term relief of monetary aid. Allocating funds to support every unemployed person would place a significant financial burden on governments, whereas investing in job training programs is a more cost-effective approach. Furthermore, equipping individuals with in-demand skills through job training not only boosts a country's workforce productivity but also increases tax revenue and benefits businesses. As Andrew pointed out, acquiring new skills enhances employability and fosters healthy competition within the job market. Display title: 6 Revised Essay
Ultimately, free job training serves as a sustainable solution that empowers individuals and contributes to overall economic growth.

In my opinion, I find myself more agree with Andrew's perspective that government should provide free job training for people to learn some skills that can help them to earn money by themselves. As their job has been replaced by the machine or no longer needed, they might need to learn some new skills so that they can get a new job to earn money by themselves so that they can maintain their life without help from government. Moreover, learn new job skills can make them become more competitive than others. For example, after they learn some new job skills and they enter to a company, they may become more competitive than those people who keep working in the company without new training for the new skills. Thus, I firmly believe that to have a opportunity to gain a new job skills is much better than government just give you money.

改进建议示例1(英文): Instead of saying "learn new job skills can make them become more competitive than others," you could say, "Acquiring new job skills not only makes individuals more competitive in the job market but also increases their chances of securing higher-paying positions."
改进建议示例2(英文): You could add a specific example to support your viewpoint, such as, "For instance, a worker who lost their job in manufacturing could benefit from free government-sponsored training in software development, which is a growing industry with numerous job opportunities."
改进建议示例1(英文): For the introduction, you could say, "In response to the professor's question, I believe that providing free job training is a more effective solution for supporting individuals whose jobs have become obsolete due to technological advancements."
改进建议示例2(英文): For better paragraph organization, you could start each paragraph with a clear topic sentence, such as, "One reason why free job training is preferable is that it equips individuals with in-demand skills that can help them secure new employment opportunities."

Thus, I firmly believe that to have aan(Use of 'a' vs. 'an') opportunity to gain a new job skills is much better than government just give you money.
Section Title: The Role of Government in Supporting Displaced Workers
In my opinion, I concur with Andrew's viewpoint that the government should prioritize providing free job training for individuals whose occupations have become obsolete. This approach enables them to acquire new skills, which can ultimately lead to self-sufficiency and financial independence.
As technological advancements render certain jobs unnecessary, it is crucial for affected individuals to adapt by learning new skills. This will enable them to secure alternative employment and maintain their livelihoods without relying on government assistance.
Furthermore, acquiring new job skills can enhance their competitiveness in the workforce. For instance, after completing a training program and joining a company, these newly skilled workers may outperform their colleagues who have not undergone similar training. This competitive edge could lead to career advancement and increased job security.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that offering opportunities for skill development is a more sustainable and empowering solution than simply providing financial support from the government. (162 words)

I am inclined to agree with Andrew's viewpoint. Since the free job training can give people an opportunity to make a decision for the future. Due to the replacement of the technology, people should take careful consideration about what they will do in the future. Offering a job training can help them estimate whether they are really like or not the job and if they can be competent to the job. For example, the baby-sister needs sufficient patience and carefulness. People who take care of them may suffer from fall apart if they are luck of enough patience, especially when the baby continues to cry. In conclusion, this method can decrease the cost of trail and error. In contrast, instead of trying hard to find a job some people may use up the money immediately and continue to turn to the government for help, this way cannot solve the root problem.

I concur with Andrew's perspective that the government should prioritize providing free job training opportunities for individuals whose jobs have become obsolete due to technological advancements. By offering job training, people can carefully consider their future career paths and determine whether they possess the necessary skills and passion for a particular job.
For instance, certain professions, such as childcare providers, require a great deal of patience and attentiveness. Those who lack these qualities may struggle in such roles, especially when faced with challenging situations like a constantly crying baby. By participating in training programs, individuals can gain firsthand experience and make informed decisions about their career choices, ultimately reducing the cost of trial and error.
On the other hand, simply providing financial support until people find new jobs may not address the underlying issue. Some individuals might exhaust their funds without making any genuine effort to secure employment and then continue to rely on government assistance. By focusing on job training instead of direct monetary aid, the government can help people develop valuable skills that will make them more competitive in the job market and better prepared for long-term success. In my opinion, offering free training programs is essential for individuals seeking new employment opportunities, as it fosters long-term development. Providing access to such programs enables people to acquire new skills and become more competitive in the job market. This is particularly important given that many individuals may struggle to afford the high costs of modern training courses without government support. For example, by acquiring skills such as cooking or drawing through these programs, participants can increase their chances of securing higher-paying jobs.
On the other hand, some argue that the government should provide direct financial assistance to those in need, allowing them to make their own choices regarding their future. I tend to agree with Andrew’s perspective that offering free job training opportunities yields more benefits than giving money directly. The primary reason is that by participating in training programs, individuals who have been laid off can acquire the skills necessary for new, in-demand careers, which increases the chance of long-term employment and stable incomes. For example, currently, a significant proportion of cashiers working at restaurants and shops have become unemployed due to the rise of online shopping and automated checkout systems in physical stores. If governments can provide them with free training, such as online courses in digital marketing, vocational school lessons in programming and data analysis, and community college classes on self-media operation, these workers will develop the skills required to secure new jobs related to the latest technology. In contrast, giving money to people who are out of work is a short-term solution. It may address immediate needs but fails to equip these individuals with the skills and abilities needed in a changing job market. Additionally, some people may even become dependent on financial support from governments without actively seeking new jobs or skill development.

I concur with Andrew's viewpoint that providing free job training opportunities reaps greater benefits than directly distributing financial aid. The primary rationale is that through participation in training programs, individuals who have experienced job loss can acquire the skills essential for new, sought-after careers, thereby increasing their chances of long-term employment and stable income. For instance, a considerable number of cashiers in restaurants and retail stores have become unemployed due to the surge in online shopping and the implementation of automated checkout systems. If governments offer free training opportunities, such as online courses in digital marketing, vocational school lessons in programming and data analysis, or community college classes on self-media operation, these workers can develop the necessary skills to secure new positions within technology-driven industries. Conversely, providing monetary assistance to those who are unemployed merely serves as a short-term solution. While it may address immediate needs, it fails to equip individuals with the skills and abilities required to navigate a dynamic job market. Furthermore, some individuals may become reliant on government support without actively pursuing new employment opportunities or skill development. (186 words)

In my opinion, the government should prioritize offering free job training rather than providing direct financial assistance to individuals who have lost their jobs due to technological advancements. The crux of the matter lies not in temporary monetary relief but in empowering people with the skills and abilities necessary to secure stable employment and improve their quality of life. By focusing on job training, individuals can become self-reliant and contribute positively to society, ultimately alleviating the government's economic burden and reducing deficits. While direct financial support may address immediate concerns of unemployment, investing in skill development and job training programs has a more profound and lasting impact on both individuals and society as a whole. Andrew presents a compelling argument in favor of training the unemployed people. After all, it is an long-term and effective means for unemployed people to obtain more skills and have more ablities to find new jobs. However, considering from the perspective of sociel security and basic human rights protection, I am inclined that the government shoud give enough money to unemployed people. In my opinion, every human has basic needs, such as the demand of food, clothing and security, especially for thoes people who lose their jobs. In other words , the government should give precedence to guarantee the basic living conditions and subsidize them rather than just offer job cultivation, which is a non-financial patronage. What's more, if a person fails to meet his own basic demand, it is more likely for him to commit a crime, which would jeopardize the social security and stability. Therefore, I firmly believe that the government should be burdened with subsidizing the unemployed people.

Andrew makes a persuasive case for providing training to unemployed individuals, as it offers a long-term and effective approach to acquiring new skills and increasing their employability. However, from the standpoint of social security and basic human rights protection, I believe that the government should prioritize ensuring financial support for those who have lost their jobs.
In my view, every individual has fundamental needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, particularly those who are unemployed. Consequently, the government should first focus on guaranteeing basic living conditions by providing financial assistance rather than solely offering job training programs, which do not directly address immediate needs. Furthermore, when a person struggles to fulfill their basic requirements, they may be more likely to engage in criminal activities that could threaten social security and stability.
Hence, I am convinced that the government bears the responsibility of financially supporting unemployed individuals. (149 words)

As the field of human resource management continues to evolve, the debate over the best solution for people whose jobs are no longer needed to live on has been intensified. In my opinion, offering them free job training without giving them money directly is a viable approach, as it addresses the root cause of unemployment. To elaborate, it is crucial for individuals to keep up with a pace of job markets development, since technological advances accelerate its rhythm. If the government could provide job training program aiming to enhance people's working skills and connect them with newly exposing labor fields, those citizens will be benefit in long term. For example, there are always a public job training program offering professional career consulting for free; people who willing to search for another job can engage in it and gain valuable information in order to increase the likelihood to find suitable job position. Admittedly, the government could just give them enough money to live on, but it would not be economically effective for the government in long term. Therefore, I believe offering free job training for people is the best method not only for individuals but also for the whole society.

Esempio Utente
Kelly presents a compelling idea that governments should give direct fund aids to people who haven't found a job yet. Admittedly, it's vital for us to live on with money, otherwise, we will have to borrow from our parents or the banks. However, considering the future career of the people who are in need of a job, I am more inclined to support job training opportunities. From my perspective, providing people with the ability to earn money is more essential than giving people money directly. For example. during the pandemic, lots of people lost their jobs and in an urgent need of money to live. Thus, governments from some countries provided them with emergency aids. However, it leaded to a negative effect that people still couldn't find a job and merely relied on the aid from the governments without working. As what is mentioned above, giving direct money aids to the people not only make them lazy but also can't help them find a job in the reality. Therefore, I think it's more necessary for governments to provide job training opportunities for citizens. It is the experience and skills that matter when finding a job.Giving money aids do no good in that. So I think we should encourage job training.

Section Title: The Importance of Job Training in Human Resource Management
Kelly's argument that governments should provide direct financial assistance to unemployed individuals has merit, as financial stability is crucial for survival. However, I believe that offering job training opportunities is a more effective long-term solution for those seeking employment. In my opinion, equipping people with the skills and knowledge to earn a living is more valuable than simply providing them with monetary aid.
For instance, during the pandemic, many individuals lost their jobs and urgently needed financial support. Some governments responded by offering emergency assistance. Unfortunately, this approach led to unintended consequences; people became increasingly reliant on government aid and remained unemployed. Providing direct financial assistance can inadvertently foster dependency and does not address the underlying issue of unemployment.
Conversely, investing in job training programs can empower citizens by equipping them with relevant skills and experience necessary for securing employment. This approach not only promotes self-sufficiency but also contributes to a more skilled workforce, which benefits society as a whole. In conclusion, while direct financial aid may offer temporary relief for those facing unemployment, it is essential for governments to prioritize job training opportunities as a sustainable solution that fosters personal growth and economic stability.
