Phoresy  Animals often have to move from place to place to obtain resources. Most animals do so using their own physical effort, but animals of certain species may not be able to transport themselves efficiently in order to access the resources they need. These animals may make use of another animal species to transport them, without causing any injury to the other species. This relationship is known as phoresy. Phoresy, which is a temporary relationship, benefits the passenger species and causes little or no harm to the species doing the transporting.

Original: Well, falsory phoresy (将"falsory"改为"phoresy") means that when a species is hard to get access to resources, they might get help from other species and that is that there isn't any harm to the other species. For example, the mites. Mites are very small and they can't fly to flowers, so they might climb on hummingbirds. They are tiny enough that the hummingbirds don't get tired. When they come to the other flowers, they climb off the hummingbirds and get the resources they want.

Revised (140 words): Phoresy refers to a temporary relationship where one species relies on another for transportation without causing harm. A prime example of this is the relationship between mites and hummingbirds. Mites are tiny creatures that feed on nectar and pollen from tropical flowers. However, they cannot fly and moving between flowers would be time-consuming and energy-intensive for them. To overcome this challenge, mites hitch a ride on hummingbirds, which also feed on nectar from the same flowers. The mites are so small that their presence does not burden or harm the hummingbirds in any way. As the hummingbird moves from one flower to another, the mites can easily access new sources of food without expending much effort. This symbiotic relationship demonstrates how phoresy benefits both species involved while causing no harm to either party.

原文:forestry phoresy(正确词汇是phoresy,而不是forestry). It is a phenomenon that when animals travel long distances to find the food available, while some animals don't have the ability to move efficiently, they take advantage of other animals to give them more transportation and don't hurt. This is a temporary relationship that benefits both species involved.(这句话更自然地描述了phoresy的定义) In the listening, the professor gave an example of an animal which is a little animal living in the tropical. Because the flower in the tropical can't last long and the animal can't fly, they don't have the ability to get to the next flower. They rely on some harmful birds harmless birds(应该是无害的鸟类,而不是有害的鸟类). When the birds are coming around, they climb on it quickly. Because it's tiny, they don't cause any damage to the birds and stick to it. After a long trip, they will climb off on the new flower and without hurt. That's all.

Revised Answer (140 words):

Phoresy is a phenomenon where certain animals, unable to move efficiently over long distances, take advantage of other species for transportation without causing harm. This temporary relationship benefits both species involved. In the listening passage, the professor provided an example of mites, small creatures living in tropical regions. Due to their inability to fly and short-lived tropical flowers, mites rely on harmless birds like hummingbirds for transportation. When a hummingbird approaches a flower, the mites quickly climb onto it. As mites are tiny, they do not cause any damage to the bird while hitching a ride. Once the hummingbird reaches a new flower, the mites climb off and feed on the nectar and pollen without causing harm. This example effectively illustrates the concept of phoresy, where both species benefit from their temporary interaction.

The speaker's delivery is generally clear and fluid, with a consistent pace and only occasional pauses. However, there are some minor issues with pronunciation, such as "pharisee" instead of "phoresy." To improve, the speaker should practice pronunciation and work on refining their speech to eliminate any inaccuracies.

4.Topic Development

The response is coherent and well-organized, with clear connections between ideas and sufficient support or examples. The speaker effectively explains the concept of phoresy using the example of mites and hummingbirds. However, the response could be improved by providing more specific details from the listening passage, such as how the mites quickly climb onto the hummingbird when it sticks its beak into the flowers. Additionally, the speaker should work on using more varied vocabulary and sentence structures to enhance their response.

5.Language Use

Original: The term phariseephoresy means a tendencytemporary relationship that benefits the passenger species and causes little or no harm to the species during the transport. The professor takes mite and hummingbird for example. As a start, he said, mite feeds on tropical flowers and it is very hard to find a new one because it can't fly and it is very small. However, the hummingbird eats the same flowers too. So the mite can come onto the hummingbird and it causes no harm to them because the mite is very small. So the mite stick onto the hummingbird and hummingbird will carry the mite from one flower to another flower. So the mite can easily find the flowers.

(Pharisee was corrected to phoresy because it is the correct term for this concept. Tendency was corrected to temporary because phoresy refers to a temporary relationship between species.)

Revised (140 words):

The term phoresy refers to a temporary relationship that benefits the passenger species while causing little or no harm to the transporting species. The professor uses the example of mites and hummingbirds to illustrate this concept. He explains that mites feed on tropical flowers, but due to their inability to fly and small size, they struggle to find new flowers. However, hummingbirds also feed on these flowers, providing an opportunity for mites to hitch a ride without causing harm due to their minuscule size. By clinging onto hummingbirds, mites are effortlessly transported from one flower to another, allowing them easy access to their food source. This example effectively demonstrates phoresy, showcasing a mutually beneficial relationship between the mites and hummingbirds, where the mites can find food more easily and the hummingbirds remain unharmed.

4.话题发展 The response does a decent job of explaining the concept of phoresy using the example of mites and hummingbirds. However, there is room for improvement in terms of organization and clarity. The response could be more concise and focused on the main points from the reading and listening passages. For example, it would be helpful to mention that phoresy is a temporary relationship that benefits the passenger species without causing harm to the transporting species. Additionally, try to avoid repeating words or phrases, such as "eat flour" or "climb over the flour," which can make the response sound repetitive and less coherent. Instead, use synonyms or rephrase your sentences to maintain variety and coherence in your response.

5.语言使用

Original Answer: Well, the reading passage talks about the phoresis, and it means that animals may make use of another animal species to transport them without causing any injury to the other species. For example, mice is very small and need to find new flour to eat pollen. Another animal is birds that eat flour as same as the mice eat. When the birds come around, the mice can climb up the birds and are taken along. When the birds climb over the flour, the mice can eat pollen in flour. Since the mice is very tiny, they isn't harmful to birds anyway.

Corrected Answer: Well, the reading passage discusses phoresy, which means that animals may utilize another animal species for transportation without causing any harm to the other species. For instance, mites are very small and need to find new flowers to consume pollen. Another animal involved in this relationship is hummingbirds, which feed on nectar from the same flowers as mites. When hummingbirds approach a flower, mites can climb onto them and be carried along. As hummingbirds move from one flower to another, mites can feed on pollen at each new location. Since mites are extremely tiny, they do not cause any harm to hummingbirds. (将“phoresis”改为“phoresy”,将“mice”改为“mites”,将“flour”改为“flower”,将“birds”改为“hummingbirds”,使用更高级的词汇,如“utilize”和“consume”,以及修正语法错误,如使用正确的动词形式和代词。)

Revised Answer (140 words):

The reading passage introduces the concept of phoresy, a temporary relationship in which one animal species benefits from being transported by another without causing harm. The lecture provides an example of this relationship between mites and hummingbirds. Mites are tiny creatures that feed on pollen from tropical flowers, which have a short lifespan. Since mites cannot fly, they rely on hummingbirds for transportation. Hummingbirds also feed on nectar from the same flowers as mites. When a hummingbird approaches a flower, mites quickly climb onto it and hitch a ride to the next flower. As the hummingbird moves from flower to flower, mites can feed on pollen at each new location. This phoretic relationship benefits the mites by providing them with easier access to food sources, while causing no harm to the hummingbirds due to their minuscule size.

Original Answer: Fiancé Phoresy (单词拼写错误,应为Phoresy) means of the concept where a temporary relationship between two species of animals where one is benefited and the other is not harmed or harmed only a little. Example of this is mites. Mites will feed on the pollen of flowers, but they are too small, so when they finish feeding on one flower, it will be really hard for them to get on the next flower since they are too small and they don't have wings to carry them across. Well, here's where the hummingbird comes in. When the hummingbird flies on this flower, the mites will hop on, and when the hummingbird moves to the next, the mites will go down. In this process, the hummingbird is not harmed since the mites are too small, and the mites can arrive at another flower to eat its pollen. Without hummingbirds, mites cannot survive. Thank you.

Revised Answer (140 words): Phoresy refers to a temporary relationship between two animal species where one benefits and the other is not harmed or only slightly harmed. An example of this is the relationship between mites and hummingbirds. Mites feed on flower pollen but are too small to efficiently move from one flower to another due to their size and lack of wings. This is where hummingbirds come into play. When a hummingbird visits a flower, mites quickly climb onto it. As the hummingbird moves from one flower to another, it unknowingly transports the mites with it. In this process, the hummingbird remains unharmed due to the mites' small size, while the mites can easily access new flowers for food. Without the assistance of hummingbirds, mites would struggle to survive.

However, the flowers will not last long, so the mice mites will fly to new flowers to get more food. However, they cannot fly, so how could they get to the next flowers? There is a species whose name is hummingbird. They will stick their beak to get nectar, and the mice mites will come to them. Because of the tiny body, the hummingbirds will not harm the mice mites. Since the hummingbirds fly from flowers to flowers, the mice mites will climb up from them onto new flowers. Without the helping of hummingbirds, it will be difficult for mice mites to get food to eat.

Revised Answer (140 words):

Phoresy is a temporary relationship in which one animal species transports another without causing harm. For example, mites are small creatures that feed on nectar and pollen in flowers. Since tropical flowers have a short lifespan, mites need to move to new flowers for sustenance. However, they cannot fly and would struggle to reach new flowers on their own. This is where hummingbirds come into play. As hummingbirds visit flowers for nectar, mites climb onto them, hitching a ride without causing any harm due to their tiny size. The hummingbirds unknowingly transport the mites from flower to flower, allowing them to access fresh sources of nectar and pollen. Without the assistance of hummingbirds, mites would face significant challenges in obtaining the food they need to survive.

Original Answer: Metamorphosis Phoresy (原文中将“phoresy”误写为“metamorphosis”,已更正) is a temporary relationship between animals that are small animals small in size (为避免重复,将“small animals”改为“small in size”) use the larger ones as a temporary transportation while they do little or no harm to the larger animals they carry. For example, a mice mite (原文中将“mites”误写为“mice”,已更正) was living in the desert, busy on big and tall flowers, which was difficult to climb and move by themselves. So when hummingbirds come close to the flowers, the mice mites (同上,已更正) quickly climb up to the hummingbirds and move with the hummingbirds to another flowers. During this period, they do small or little harm to the hummingbirds.

Revised Answer (140 words):

Phoresy is a temporary relationship between animals, where smaller species use larger ones for transportation without causing significant harm. For example, mites, which are tiny insect-like creatures, live in tropical climates and feed on nectar and pollen from flowers. These flowers are often tall and challenging for mites to climb. When hummingbirds approach these flowers to feed on nectar, mites quickly climb onto the birds, hitching a ride to another flower. This interaction benefits the mites by providing them with an efficient means of transportation and access to food resources, while causing minimal harm to the hummingbirds. In this way, the example of mites and hummingbirds illustrates the concept of phoresy, showcasing a mutually beneficial relationship between two different species.

Original Answer: Policy Phoresy (修改为正确的词汇) is a temporary relationship which enables passenger spaceships species (修改为正确的词汇) to get resources by being transported and cause little harm to spaceships the species (修改为正确的词汇) during the transport. For example, the tropical mites are so small to climb up and down from one flower to another, of which they feed on nectar and pollen by themselves. So, when a hummingbird, which feeds on the same flower as the mites, sticks its beak to the flower, the mites come upon it and not harm it. Once the hummingbird gets to the next flower, they climb off and eat the pollen. This is a policy phoresy (修改为正确的词汇) which makes the mites easier to get food.

Revised Answer (140 words): Phoresy is a temporary relationship that enables one animal species to obtain resources by being transported by another species, causing little or no harm to the transporting species. For instance, tropical mites are too small to efficiently move between flowers for their food sources of nectar and pollen. When a hummingbird, which also feeds on nectar from the same flowers as the mites, approaches a flower, the mites quickly climb onto the bird without causing any harm. As the hummingbird moves to the next flower, the mites disembark and consume the nectar and pollen from the new flower. This phoretic relationship allows mites to access food more easily, demonstrating the concept of phoresy as a mutually beneficial interaction between different species.

Original Answer: Forestry describes the relationship between the passenger species and the animals doing the transporting. Take the mites as an example. This is a small, tiny insect that couldn't fly. They like eating nectars, but since they're quite small, it's difficult for them to climb up and down to different flowers. So they turn to hummingbirds for help. Hummingbirds also eat nectars. When hummingbirds pour their beaks into the flower, the mites climb up on the beak and let the bird carry them around different flowers. So they can move around without taking any effort. Since the mites are quite tiny, they wouldn't do any harm to the birds.

Corrected Answer: Forestry Phoresy (原词为Forestry,应改为Phoresy,因为这是文章中描述的关系) describes the relationship between the passenger species and the animals doing the transporting. Take the mites as an example. This is a small, tiny insect that couldn't fly. These are small, tiny insects that cannot fly. (原句使用了单数,应改为复数以保持一致性;此外,将couldn't改为cannot使句子更自然) They like eating nectars nectar (原词为复数,应改为单数,因为nectar是不可数名词), but since they're quite small, it's difficult for them to climb up and down to different flowers. So they turn to hummingbirds for help. Hummingbirds also eat nectars nectar (同上). When hummingbirds pour insert (原词为pour,应改为insert,因为这是正确描述鸟嘴插入花中的动作的词汇) their beaks into the flower, the mites climb up on the beak and let the bird carry them around different flowers. So they can move around without taking any effort. Since the mites are quite tiny, they wouldn't do any harm to the birds.

Revised Answer (140 words): Phoresy describes the relationship between the passenger species and the animals providing transportation. Consider mites as an example. These are small, tiny insects that cannot fly. They enjoy consuming nectar, but due to their size, it is challenging for them to climb up and down different flowers. Consequently, they rely on hummingbirds for assistance. Hummingbirds also consume nectar, and when they insert their beaks into a flower, the mites quickly climb onto the beak, allowing the bird to transport them among various flowers. This enables mites to move around effortlessly without causing any harm to the birds since they are quite tiny. The phoresy concept is well-illustrated by this example of mites and hummingbirds, showcasing a mutually beneficial relationship where one species aids another in accessing essential resources.

Original: The article discusses a biology concept named phariseephoresy(费洛西) , which means that one kind of species may make use of another kind of species in order to transport themselves to get food. And the professor gives one example for this concept. He mentioned a species named matmite(螨虫) , which lives in tropical environment and get food from flowers. Because those flowers cannot live long, so the matmite should fly to another flower, but they are too tiny to fly by themselves. So they just stick on hummingbirds. Those hummingbirds also get food from flowers, so the birds just need to fly around. And once the hummingbirds get to another flower, those matsmites who stick on the birds just can get new food. They can eat the pollens.

Revised (140 words): The passage introduces a biological concept called phoresy, which refers to one species utilizing another for transportation to access resources, such as food. The professor provides an example of this concept involving mites, small creatures that inhabit tropical environments and feed on nectar and pollen from flowers. Due to the short lifespan of these flowers, mites must move to other flowers for sustenance. However, they are too small to fly independently, so they rely on hummingbirds for transportation. As hummingbirds also feed on nectar from flowers, they frequently visit different blossoms. When a hummingbird reaches a new flower, the mites that have clung to it can access fresh food sources, consuming the pollen available at the new location. This example demonstrates the concept of phoresy, as the mites benefit from the hummingbirds' mobility without causing them any harm.

Original Answer: Phoraceae Phoresy (改正:拼写错误,应为Phoresy) refers to the relationship that animals use another kind of species to transport themselves without causing any injury to this kind of species. Take the mite as an example. They feed on a kind of flower which falls off very quickly. So they eat the nectar from the flower, but they have to transport themselves to another flower. However, they cannot fly, so it might be hard to climb from a flower to another flower for the mite. And there is a kind of bird called hummingbird which eats the same flower of the mite. And when they get nectar, the mite may come to this bird. And because they are tiny, it won't cause any harm to the hummingbird. And the hummingbird takes care of them with their flowers.

Revised Answer (140 words): Phoresy refers to the temporary relationship in which animals utilize another species for transportation without causing any harm. For instance, mites feed on tropical flowers that wilt and fall off quickly, requiring them to move to new flowers for sustenance. However, since mites cannot fly and are too small to efficiently climb between flowers, they rely on hummingbirds for transportation. Hummingbirds consume nectar from the same flowers as mites and are unharmed by their presence due to their minuscule size. As hummingbirds visit different flowers for nectar, mites hitch a ride on them and transfer from one flower to another with ease. This example demonstrates phoresy as it highlights how mites benefit from their association with hummingbirds without causing any harm or inconvenience to their host.

4.话题发展 从话题发展的角度来看,这个回答基本上是连贯和有组织的,也提供了足够的支持和例子。但是,在描述“phoresy”这个概念时,使用了错误的单词“Phosphoryl”,应该改为“Phoresy”。此外,在描述过程中,将“mites”误写为“mice”,需要注意这种细节错误。建议在组织回答时更加注意细节,并确保使用正确的词汇来描述概念。

5.语言使用

Phosphoryl Phoresy (修改原词“Phosphoryl”为正确的词汇“Phoresy”) is a concept mentioned in the reading, which means it is a relationship between two different types of species, and it can benefit the passenger species but do no or little harm to transport species. In the lecture, the professor used a relationship between mice mites (修改原词“mice”为正确的词汇“mites”) and hummingbirds to illustrate this concept. Mites are small insects that feed on pollen of the flowers, however, flowers will not last very long, so mites need to find another flower after they eat one. However, they are so small to get fly to another flower, so when hummingbirds come to eat nectar of the flower, mites will stick on the hummingbird's body. Once the hummingbird move to another flower, mites will get away and get pollen as feed. So without hummingbirds, mice is difficult to find the food. As you can see, those are vivid examples to illustrate this conception.

Revised Answer (140 words):

Phoresy is a concept mentioned in the reading that refers to a relationship between two different species where one benefits as a passenger while causing little or no harm to the transporting species. The lecture provides an example of this relationship between mites and hummingbirds. Mites are tiny insects that feed on flower pollen; however, since flowers have a short lifespan, mites must constantly search for new sources of food. Due to their small size, mites cannot fly from one flower to another. Instead, they rely on hummingbirds, which also feed on flower nectar. When a hummingbird visits a flower, mites quickly attach themselves to the bird's body. As the hummingbird moves to another flower, the mites detach and continue feeding on pollen. This example effectively illustrates the concept of phoresy, as the mites benefit from the hummingbird's transportation without causing harm.

Revised Answer (140 words): In the reading passage, the term phoresy refers to a temporary relationship in which animals utilize another species' abilities to transport themselves without causing harm to the other species. The lecture provides an example of this relationship between mites and hummingbirds. Mites are tiny insects that feed on nectar and pollen from flowers. However, since flowers have a short lifespan and mites cannot fly, it is challenging for them to find new sources of food. When hummingbirds visit flowers for nectar, mites quickly climb onto their backs. As mites are extremely small, they do not harm the hummingbirds. The hummingbirds then transport the mites from one flower to another, making it easier for the mites to access food. This example demonstrates the concept of phoresy, as it highlights a mutually beneficial relationship between two different species.

Revised Answer (140 words):

Phoresy means a relationship in which animals make use of another animal species to transport them without causing injury. In the professor's example, he mentions mites, a type of insect that survives on flowers that do not last a long time. To obtain enough food, mites must move to new flowers. However, due to their tiny size, it would be a challenging journey for them. Mites have found a solution by attaching themselves to hummingbirds without causing harm. As the hummingbird visits new flowers, the mites climb off and get off the bird to access the food resources they need. Revised (140 words): In this lecture series, the professor discusses phoresy, a concept where animals make use of another animal for transportation without causing injuries. In the biology lecture, an example of a small animal called a mite is used to illustrate this concept. The mite needs to find nectar from flowers; however, when a flower wilts, they must move to another flower for nectar. As mites cannot fly, it takes significant effort for them to move between flowers. To overcome this challenge, they rely on hummingbirds for transportation. When hummingbirds visit flowers for nectar, mites quickly climb onto them. The hummingbirds then transport the mites to various flowers without being harmed. This enables mites to easily access new sources of nectar without causing injuries to their helpful transporters.
