Doctor Diaz
We’ve been discussing ways that parents can help prepare their teenage children for adulthood. One line of thinking is that parents should encourage their teenagers to take part-time jobs to help them learn to be responsible, even if it is not an economic necessity for the teenagers to work. What are your thoughts on the issue? Should parents urge teenage children to get a job? Why or why not?
Claire
Teenagers should work part-time. When I was 16, I washed dishes at a restaurant, and I’m glad I did. I learned a lot about time management. I had to use my free time wisely to make sure I could complete homework despite spending time working at a job. This is a valuable life skill.
Andrew
I would have to disagree. A teenager is still just a kid, and in my opinion, a kid needs to focus on going to school and learning. A job would be an unnecessary distraction. If it’s all about learning responsibility, I think there are a lot of other ways to do that without the commitment required by a job.

As Claire mentioned, the juveniles acquire both work experience and life skills from the prat-time job. With diverse part-time job, teenagers could apply the expertise gained from school into practice, learn more basic living skills and make their life more manageable, which benefits them in the long run. In addition, I add that the part-time job could help children cultivate leadership, become responsible for families, which in turn elevate their living standard in the future. Thus, the teenagers, undoutedly, reach and harvest the benefits from the part-time job.

In acknowledging Andrew's concern that part-time jobs may pose as unnecessary distractions for teenagers, I find myself more inclined towards Claire's stance, which emphasizes the valuable life skills and experiences gained through such employment. As Claire illustrated, part-time jobs enable young individuals to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings while simultaneously acquiring essential life skills, ultimately fostering a more well-rounded development. Furthermore, I contend that these jobs can also cultivate leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility towards their families, thereby enhancing their future prospects and overall quality of life. In response to Dr. Diaz's question regarding whether parents should encourage their teenage children to obtain employment, I would argue against this notion. First and foremost, today's adolescents are already overwhelmed with numerous responsibilities, such as schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and supplementary courses. Many students find themselves occupied until late at night, leaving little room for additional commitments. For example, my own schedule is filled from morning to evening with school assignments, advanced mathematics classes, piano lessons, and English tutoring sessions. Adding a job to this already demanding schedule would likely exacerbate the stress and fatigue experienced by many teenagers. While I acknowledge Claire's assertion that employment can help individuals develop time management skills, I believe that contemporary adolescents have already honed these abilities through balancing their academic and extracurricular pursuits. The experiences of today's youth differ significantly from those of previous generations; in the past, children and teenagers were often exploited as cheap labor rather than encouraged to excel academically. Consequently, Claire's anecdotal evidence from her own youth may not serve as an appropriate model for the current generation of students. Fuck

The essay effectively addresses the task requirements by expressing an opinion and contributing to the discussion. However, there is a profane word at the end of the essay that should be removed. Additionally, the essay could benefit from more specific examples or details to support the viewpoint.
Example 1: Instead of mentioning only your own schedule, you could provide statistics or research on how teenagers' schedules have become more demanding over time. Example 2: To strengthen your argument against Claire's assertion, you could provide evidence from studies that show how modern teenagers have already developed time management skills through their various activities.
4. Essay structure and organization
The essay has a clear structure with an introduction, body, and conclusion. However, it could benefit from clearer transitions between ideas and paragraphs to improve its organization.
Example 1: To improve transitions between ideas, you can use phrases like "Moreover," "In addition," or "On the other hand" at the beginning of paragraphs. Example 2: To better organize your thoughts within paragraphs, consider using topic sentences that clearly state the main point of each paragraph followed by supporting details or examples.

In response to Dr. Diaz's question concerning whether parents should encourage their teenage children to seek employment, I would argue against this proposition. Primarily, today's adolescents are already inundated with numerous responsibilities, such as academic coursework, extracurricular activities, and supplementary courses. Many students find themselves engaged until late at night, leaving little room for additional commitments. For instance, my own schedule is packed from morning to evening with school assignments, advanced mathematics classes, piano lessons, and English tutoring sessions. Incorporating a job into this already demanding timetable would likely intensify the stress and fatigue experienced by many teenagers.
While I recognize Claire's contention that employment can foster the development of time management skills, I maintain that contemporary adolescents have already refined these abilities through balancing their scholastic and extracurricular endeavors. The experiences of today's youth differ markedly from those of previous generations; historically, children and teenagers were often exploited as inexpensive labor rather than encouraged to excel academically. As a result, Claire's anecdotal evidence from her own youth may not serve as a suitable paradigm for the current generation of students. (186 words)

Title: 6 文章修订
In my opinion, it is essential for parents to encourage their teenagers to pursue part-time jobs, as these opportunities can provide invaluable life experiences and contribute to their personal development. Part-time jobs allow adolescents to gain a deeper understanding of the working world and clarify their career aspirations.
To illustrate, firsthand experience in a job setting can reveal aspects of a profession that might not be apparent from an outsider's perspective. For example, I initially believed that I possessed strong communication skills and the ability to handle emergencies effectively. However, my summer job at a restaurant challenged these assumptions, as I encountered difficulties in addressing customer complaints and responding to unexpected incidents such as broken glassware or injured patrons.
While some may argue that education should be the primary focus for teenagers, as Andrew suggests, it is important to recognize that continuous learning can lead to fatigue and decreased concentration. Engaging in activities outside of academics allows young people to maintain balance in their lives and develop skills beyond the classroom.
In conclusion, part-time jobs play a crucial role in fostering personal growth among teenagers. Encouraging adolescents to participate in such opportunities can significantly enhance their overall development and prepare them for future success. (207 words)

I concur with Andrew that teenagers are unsuitable for part-time jobs, albeit for a different rationale. Nowadays, as the pressure from school becomes increasing high, many teenagers struggle to deal with the overwhelming amount of assignments. Consequently, it is not feasible to ask teenagers to divert their time and complete a part-time job, which requires both physical and mental devotion. Although Claire mentioned a valid benefit of taking a part-time job, this benefit is trivial compared to the negative impacts taking a part-time job would have on teenagers, including insufficient sleep or psychological problems due to overwhelming work load. Additionally, teenagers do not actually need the working experience obtained through working, since a majority of universities are offering free training program, from which students could gain invaluable infromation concerning their future careers, without any charge. Moreover, those training programs can cover all aspects of the workplace more comprehensively, enabling students to learn efficiently rather than learning inefficiently from mistakes.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
I agree with Andrew that part-time jobs may not be suitable for teenagers, although my reasoning differs. In today's world, academic pressure on students has significantly increased, causing many teenagers to struggle with managing their workload. As a result, it is impractical to expect them to allocate time and energy towards a part-time job that demands both physical and mental commitment. While Claire highlights the value of learning time management through part-time work, this advantage pales in comparison to the potential negative consequences, such as sleep deprivation or psychological issues stemming from an overwhelming workload.
Furthermore, it is not essential for teenagers to gain work experience through part-time jobs, as numerous universities offer free training programs. These programs provide invaluable information about future careers at no cost to the students. Additionally, these training opportunities cover various aspects of the workplace more comprehensively than a part-time job might, allowing students to learn efficiently rather than through trial and error. I firmly believe that parents should encourage teenager to participate in part-time jobs. This perspective will expounded upon by exploring the positive impact on both teenagers' mental and physical well-being. First and foremost, urging teenagers to take part in jobs in their spare time definitely boosting their motivation and morale to achieve better result in their future development. This is because these works undoubtedly enable them to practice more, and will thus provide them a nurturing and supportive environments for their personal growth. A study conducted by Harvard University revealed that nearly 76% who attended the part-time job during their school period performed much better in their future career, compared to 12% who don't opt for taking a part-time jobs. This phenomenon largely reflects the importance of the working experience on their future development. Moreover, encouraging teenagers to participate part-time jobs could increase their strength and promote their physical endurance. While a large portion of teenagers nowadays tend to get ill and often lack of opportunity to exercise, these working experiences would provide them a chance to make their body strong. Taking these factors into account, I wholeheartedly concur with the notion that parents should let teenagers to take part in part-time jobs.

The debate over whether requiring teenagers have working experience is indeed complex. While I can understand Claire's proposal that working part-time job might contribute to their life complexity for sixteen-year-old by raising her personal experience, I find myself resonating more with Andrew's viewpoint that students at this stage of life should focus more on school work rather than wasting time on something people can experience in any period of their lives. As Andrew mentioned, doing part-time job will significantly reduce studying efficiency, rendering meaningless disruption for students. In addition to what Andrew stated, I would like to propose that focusing more on making better academic performance play a positive role in enhancing the capacity to plan for themselves in the long run. Furthermore, by keeping a high scores could help them secure a scholarship, which could address the financial challenges brought by not doing part-time job.

The complexity of the debate surrounding whether teenagers should gain work experience is undeniable. While I can appreciate Claire's argument that part-time jobs may enhance life skills for sixteen-year-olds, as evidenced by her personal experience, I find myself more aligned with Andrew's perspective that students at this stage should prioritize their education over engaging in activities that can be pursued at any point in their lives. As Andrew highlighted, part-time jobs may significantly decrease academic efficiency and create unnecessary distractions for students. In addition to Andrew's points, I would like to suggest that focusing on achieving strong academic performance can positively impact long-term planning abilities. Moreover, maintaining high grades could potentially lead to scholarship opportunities, which could alleviate financial concerns associated with not working part-time. (130 words)

In my perspective, I concur with Clair's viewpoint that it is an essential part for parents in their efforts to cultivate their young children to become a well-rounded person, since children can possess useful skill sets through their part-time job. Building upon Claire's argument, I would like to propose that participating part-job is also conducive to improving the relationship of the family. To be specific, only by working on their own, can young children have a better understanding of their parents' hardship, thus becoming more independent in their life. For example, once I was a lazy boy. However, after doing part-job in a nearby KFC, including washing dishes and sweeping the floor, I began realizing my parents were exhausted after a whole day's work, thus beginning cooking and cleaning the house proactively. Therefore, it is the part-time job that makes young children become a mature person with a strong sense of responsibility.

In my opinion, I agree with Claire's perspective that encouraging teenagers to take part-time jobs is a crucial aspect of preparing them for adulthood, as it equips them with valuable skill sets.
Expanding on Claire's argument, I would like to suggest that engaging in part-time work also fosters stronger family relationships. Specifically, by working independently, teenagers can gain a deeper appreciation for their parents' efforts and challenges, thereby becoming more self-reliant in their lives. For instance, I used to be quite indolent; however, after taking on a part-time job at a nearby KFC – which involved washing dishes and sweeping floors – I began to understand the exhaustion my parents experienced after a full day's work. Consequently, I started taking the initiative to cook and clean at home.
In conclusion, part-time employment plays a significant role in helping young individuals develop into mature adults with a heightened sense of responsibility. (153 words)

I tend to agree with Claire's opinion. Children should try to get attached to work as they gradually grow up. First of all, engaging in various types of jobs helps them discover their interest and may cultivate their potential to some extent. After they finish different kinds of work, they may compare their experience during the working process and eventually find the one they are mostly interested in. What's more, Andrew's comment that part-time jobs will distract children's attention from school is narrow. Nowadays with many computer games and video applications coming up, there are more things that may distract children and even lead to bad habits. Instead, working part-time jobs can prevent children from addiction to those things that may do harm to their physical and mental health because it takes time and patience to finish the jobs. Therefore, I think parents should encourage their teenagers to take part-time jobs.

From my perspective, I tend to support Claire's opinion. I do believe that the experience of having a part-time job is meaningful for teenagers. First, part-time jobs provide teenagers with both life and work experience, and it will improve teenagers' ablitity. For example, when I was in high school, I used to teach other students and got paid. This experience improves my ablitity of teaching and communicating with others. Additionally, doing part-time jobs gives teenagers a sense of independence. They may gain the pleasure from earning money through their own effort. I have to point out that teenagers should not be seen as kids. Doing part-time jobs gives them a opportunity to help themselves grow up from kids to adults.
