Professor
We are all under great influence of our parents, especially on the major we choose in college. And of course, parents all have good intentions to get involved in our decision-making process. Before next class, I would like for you to discuss this question: Should parents try to help determine the futures of their children? Or children should be allowed to make their own choices?
Dalio
It’s better to let children make their own decisions. Not just because if parents are too protective, they may raise old infant who are incapable of making any important decisions in their life. But also, to build self-esteem or to become confident, children need to learn to make their own judgment. It’s our life and we should be responsible for it.
Phil
Parents are just helping children to learn about the hard truth in society. They are sophisticated adults and have more experience and more importantly, they love us 100%. And it may not be the best choice, but it definitely is a considerate and thoughtful decision for us. Like when they try to decide the major for us, it’s very natural we don’t need to fight hard with them, all we need to do is to look at it as a need to pass a narrow training period in college.

Przykład Użytkownika
From my perspective, I definately suggest that children should be able to make their own decisions for their future. To begin with, as Dalio highlighted in the discussion, children could become more independent by making choice by their own instead of asking their parents for help. Through cultivate independence, the children will become more confident and boost self-esteem, which are of great help while facing obstacles as well as challenges in their future career trajectories. On the other hand, usually the children are more likely to make better decisions since there is no denying that children are more familiar with their pontential abilities as well as skills. In contrast, their parents are not able the discover their children's all talents. Which indicate that children would able to make decisions that suit them most without interference of their parents'. In addition, the children would less likely to blame their parents as soon as they make wrong decisions. Thus, a good family relationship is maintained indirectly. Admittedly, a voice arises that parents will make better decisions for children as they are more experienced, as Phil mentions in the discussion. In spite of that, it fails to reveal the fact that it would be hard for parents to make decisions that suit their children since they know less about children than children themselves.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, children should undoubtedly be allowed to make their own decisions regarding their future. Firstly, as Dalio emphasized in the discussion, fostering independence in children is crucial for their personal growth. By making their own choices, children can develop confidence and self-esteem, which are essential qualities for overcoming obstacles and challenges in their future careers. Secondly, children are more likely to make better decisions as they have a deeper understanding of their potential abilities and skills. In contrast, parents may not be fully aware of all their children's talents, which implies that children can make more suitable decisions without parental interference.
Furthermore, allowing children to make their own choices can help maintain healthy family relationships. If a child makes a wrong decision independently, they are less likely to blame their parents for it. While some may argue that parents can make better decisions for their children due to their experience and love, as Phil mentioned in the discussion, this perspective overlooks the fact that parents may not know what is best for their child since they have limited insight into the child's true interests and capabilities.
