Task का अवलोकन

Doctor Gupta

Let’s discuss how teachers’ job performance is assessed or evaluated. Regular evaluations of teachers help to ensure that students receive high-quality instruction, that good teachers are rewarded, and that struggling teachers receive help to improve. But what is the best way to evaluate teachers? Should teachers be evaluated based on their students’ test scores? Should more-experienced teachers evaluate less-experienced teachers? Should students’ feedback be considered? Which approach is best, and why?

Andrew

I think experienced senior teachers are the best source of information for teacher evaluations. School leaders can assign experienced teachers to observe their fellow teachers periodically during class, and these senior teachers can then provide feedback on their colleagues’ performance. An experienced teacher has the knowledge to determine what other teachers are doing well and what needs improvement.

Kelly

I’m not convinced that any one person’s occasional visits to a classroom would provide accurate information. I’d like a more objective, fairer source of data, so I’d prefer to rely on test scores to inform teacher evaluations. If all students take the same test, and some classes perform better than others, then we know which teachers have been most successful.

In my opinion, the disadvantages of evaluating less-experienced teachers by experienced teachers will eclipse its advantages, when implemented inappropriately. Firstly, experienced teachers are always buried with excessive teaching assignments such as designing the exam and course. The requirement of evaluating their colleagues will put an extra burden on them and ultimately be devastating for the students' academic improvement. As an alternative, evaluation from students offers a comprehensive perspective when it comes to commenting on the less-experienced teacher, owing to their full engagement in the class. While Andrew's viewpoint highlights the benefits of senior teachers' evaluations, it neglects the involvement of students during the junior teachers' classes. Thus, I firmly believe that evaluation of junior teachers should be based on the comments and experiences from their students, instead of senior teachers.

In my opinion, the potential drawbacks of utilizing experienced teachers to evaluate their less-experienced counterparts may outweigh the benefits if not executed properly.

Firstly, seasoned educators often face a plethora of responsibilities, such as developing exams and curricula. Adding the task of evaluating their peers could place an undue burden on them, ultimately hindering students' academic progress. As an alternative, feedback from students can provide a more comprehensive perspective on the performance of less-experienced teachers, given their direct involvement in the classroom.

Although Andrew's stance emphasizes the advantages of senior teachers conducting evaluations, it overlooks the valuable input that students can offer during junior teachers' classes. Consequently, I firmly believe that assessing novice educators should primarily rely on feedback and insights from their students rather than their more experienced colleagues. (133 words)

I disagree with Kelly's suggestion. Kelly argued that a good measure of a teacher's teaching ability would be the students' test results. However, a variety of factors, such as pupils' natural intellectual prowess and personal motivation or interest in a certain subject, can largely influence and affect their test performance. Thus, the results of pupils tests cannot possibly be a complete reflection of how they benefited from their teachers since it is impossible to completely eliminate these aspects from the equation. Given that students are the ones who are most directly impacted by their teachers, I would propose that the ideal strategy is for students to review their teachers. This is the most direct way to assess a teacher's performance, as their feedback would be the most fair and would be able to provide the most straightforward and useful evaluation of how their teachers perform and whether their teachers accomplished the goal of helping students improve academically. By analysing these students' feedback over time, the school would be able to detect whether or not the teacher has been working on areas for improvement and eventually provide a fair evaluation of the teacher.

Section Title: Evaluating Teacher Performance

In my opinion, incorporating student feedback is the most effective method for evaluating teachers, as their primary responsibility is to positively impact students through education. Students' perspectives are crucial in assessing whether a teacher successfully fulfills their role in fostering personal growth and academic progress. Teachers should serve as role models and deliver well-prepared lessons to facilitate student development. If a teacher consistently fails to prepare adequately or set a positive example, students will likely be the first to recognize these shortcomings. While some may argue that experienced senior teachers offer valuable insights for evaluations, their limited interaction with both the evaluated teachers and students may hinder their ability to accurately assess performance. The essay does a good job of expressing an opinion and contributing to the discussion by arguing for the importance of students' feedback in teacher evaluations. However, it could be improved by providing more specific examples or evidence to support the viewpoint. Additionally, the essay should address Kelly's argument about test scores as a means of evaluation, either agreeing or disagreeing with her perspective.

Example 1: "For instance, students can provide insights into a teacher's ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner, which may not be evident from test scores alone."

The essay has a clear structure with an introduction, body, and conclusion. However, it could benefit from better organization within the body paragraphs by focusing on one main point per paragraph and using clear transitions between ideas.

Only when teachers have taught students for years can they know which point is difficult for pupils to understand or which kind of questions is easy to handle. As a result, senior teachers are more professional. They should be invited to young teacher's classes and give their opinions, instructing younger ones to be aware of their weaknesses. Take my teacher Amy as an example, she used to find that nobody is willing to listen to her classes. She is upset because she just graduated from college and she wanted every student listening to her carefully. Students suggested that her classes is too boring and some funny stories should be added. She did that but received little. Students still refused to listen to her unless she was joking. Finally, a senior teacher told her that she always taught difficult knowledges without students having a well-founded basis. Therefore, students could not understand what she was talking. Amy then changed her work by switching to teach more basic things, which is definitely effective and efficient. Kelly tells a competitive suggestion that test scores is the best way. However, lots of students giving scores randomly, leading to inaccurate results of the outcome data. In conclusion, only the experienced teachers can beat evaluate the teaching performances.

Title: 6 文章修订

In my perspective, I agree with Andrew that senior teachers evaluating the performance of their less-experienced colleagues is the most effective approach. Experience plays a crucial role in teaching, as it allows educators to identify areas where students may struggle and adapt their methods accordingly. Consequently, seasoned teachers possess valuable expertise that can be used to assess and guide their younger counterparts.

For instance, consider my teacher Amy, who initially struggled to engage her students. Despite being a recent college graduate eager to make an impact, she found her lessons were deemed uninteresting by her pupils. Although she attempted to incorporate humor based on student feedback, it did little to improve the situation. It was not until a senior teacher observed her class and pointed out that she was introducing complex concepts without establishing a solid foundation for her students that Amy adjusted her approach. By focusing on fundamental knowledge first, she significantly improved the effectiveness of her teaching.

While Kelly proposes using test scores as an objective measure for teacher evaluations, this method has its shortcomings. For example, some students may not take assessments seriously and provide arbitrary scores, leading to unreliable data.

Ultimately, experienced educators possess the necessary insight and understanding of teaching methodologies to accurately assess their colleagues' performance. Their guidance can prove invaluable in helping less-experienced teachers recognize areas for improvement and enhance their instructional abilities. (233 words)

In my opinion, I agree with Kelly that utilizing students' test scores is a compelling approach to assess experienced teachers. As Kelly points out, test scores offer a more objective measure compared to subjective feedback from fellow educators. Colleagues may provide favorable evaluations based on personal relationships rather than actual teaching proficiency. In contrast, test results present an unbiased representation of a teacher's influence on student learning. Furthermore, examining students' performance serves as an indicator of instructional effectiveness. In my opinion, the best method to evaluate teacher's is through student's feedback. Because the most significant target for a teacher is instructing their students. To be more specific, students spend most of their time with teachers, so their feelings and feedback should be prioritized. For example, in my college, we need to take some questionaires about teachers in the end of each semesters, before choosing courses in next semester. And it's anonymous so that the college could get intuitional and objective information about the teaching capacities of teachers by their students. Still, student's test scores is an important standard to examine a teacher's level, but it's not the priority, as student's test scores also based on the student's effort and basics. If we use the student's test scores to evaluate a teacher, we should focus on the improvement that the students make, but not the final scores.

Section Title: Evaluating Teacher Performance

In my opinion, the most effective approach to evaluating a teacher's performance is through student feedback, as the primary objective of a teacher is to provide instruction to their students. Students spend a significant amount of time with their teachers, and thus, their insights and feedback should be given precedence. For instance, at my college, we are required to complete anonymous questionnaires about our instructors at the end of each semester before selecting courses for the upcoming term. This process allows the institution to gather candid and objective information regarding the teaching abilities of its faculty members from those who experience it firsthand. While students' test scores can serve as an important benchmark for assessing a teacher's effectiveness, they should not be considered the sole criterion since these scores are also influenced by individual student effort and foundational knowledge. Instead, when utilizing test scores for evaluation purposes, emphasis should be placed on the progress and improvement demonstrated by students rather than solely on their final results. (171 words)

In determining the most effective method for evaluating teachers, it is crucial to consider the long-term impact on students' success and adaptability in an ever-evolving job market. While Kelly's suggestion of relying on student test scores as a primary evaluation metric appears comprehensive, it may not be sufficient in preparing students for a future where artificial intelligence could potentially replace many simple careers. Focusing solely on achieving high test scores may leave students ill-equipped to secure stable employment in a competitive market.

Instead, assessing teachers based on their academic performance and expertise in their respective fields can yield significant benefits. As these specialized subjects are less likely to be replaced by AI, educators with a deep understanding of their discipline can better prepare students for successful careers. Moreover, teachers with impressive academic achievements are more likely to inspire and guide students towards deeper exploration of their chosen majors, ultimately equipping them with the necessary tools for a prosperous future. Therefore, I firmly believe that evaluating teachers based on their academic performance is the most effective approach. (180 words)

So if we just teach AI, educators with a deep understanding of their discipline can better prepare students for successful careers (explained the advantage of this university students how to get a good grades of some disciplines, our students who urgently need a stable job to cover the cost of house lease, basic necessities, method). Moreover, teachers with impressive academic achievements are more likely to inspire and utility bills will be disappointed. However, choose the guide students towards deeper exploration of their chosen majors, ultimately equipping them with the necessary tools for a prosperous future (highlighted additional benefits). Therefore, I firmly believe that evaluating teachers based on their academic performance as the evaluate guidelines can bring huge benifits, because the special major that we are studied in has a high level, so it can not be easily replaced by AI. Besides, the more academic reward the teacher get, the deeper understand for him to understand this subject. If you want to investigate more deeply in your major, this is the necessary equipments for you to get a wonderful future life. In a nutshell, l strongly maintain that the best way to evaluate a teacher is examining their academic proformance.most effective approach (concluded with a clear stance).

Personally, I support Kelly's view that inspecting students' performances is an excessively effective way to evaluate teachers. It is indeed fair and objective, since what involves is only the comparison between test scores. Apart from that, it is far more precise and corresponds with the fundamental duty of teachers, which is educating students on knowledge and other aspects. For example, if a teacher is charm and intelligent, but unfortunately, he or she isn't good at imparting those academic knowledges to students. In my points of view, I'm still not able to consider him as a good teacher since his or her initial work can't be performed competently. Besides, I contend Andrew's idea that the feedback from senior teachers counts is not with merit. Nonetheless, students, their parents, and collogues should also do their part in offering information about a teacher's behavior and well-being during the evaluation.

I concur with Kelly's perspective that evaluating teachers based on their students' performance is a highly effective method. This approach is both fair and objective, as it solely involves comparing test scores. Moreover, it accurately reflects the fundamental duty of teachers: to educate students in various aspects, including knowledge acquisition.

For instance, a teacher may possess charisma and intelligence but may struggle to effectively impart academic knowledge to their students. In my opinion, such an individual cannot be considered a good teacher if they are unable to competently fulfill their primary responsibility.

While I acknowledge Andrew's argument that feedback from senior teachers is valuable, I believe it should not be the sole source of information during evaluations. Instead, input from students, parents, and colleagues should also be taken into account to provide a comprehensive assessment of a teacher's performance and well-being. (142 words)

I firmly believe that evaluating teachers based on their student's academic performance is the most fair method because this create a transparent environment. I strongly concur with Kelly's assertion that students' scores from different classes on the same test can effectively reflect their teacher's teaching efficiency. Moreover, it is convincing that students will receive higher academic scores on tests if teachers allocate more time and energy on polishing their teaching method and assisting students to better understand confusing and tough materials. Therefore, the school institutions can clearly judge whether a teacher conduct high-quality instructions from students performance. Although I agree with Andrew's perspective that experienced teachers' feedback is a good resource, this could not be the determining factor or element to judge less-experienced performance. This is because experienced and professional instructors may use their power to make money or meet other need, and thus leading to a fact that their feedback can not correctly reflect teachers’ job performance. Therefore, based on the reasons mentioned above, I assert that evaluating students' test scores is the best way to assess a teacher's performance.

First, they interact with the teachers for the longest time, making them learn about the their teachers' teaching quality and style well. In this way, they can make the most comprehensive and detailed evaluation of their instructors. For instance, my university organizes undergraduates to leave feedback for our professors each year. Thanks to this policy, I managed to complain about one professor's misbehavior of always being late for class. Eventually, the professor publicly apologized and never came to class late, which contributed a lot to this class' students' eduation. In contrast, the senior teachers cannot test the teachers' teaching level objectively as they may overestimate or underestimate the evaluated teacher based on their personal relationship. Besides, score-oriented evaluting system will make the teachers impose too much pressure on the students just to get a higher assessment result. In conclusion, students' comments are the optimal reflection of teachers' capability and work ethics as students can get to know the professor closely and objectively.

In my opinion, incorporating students' feedback serves as the most effective method for evaluating teachers' performance.

Firstly, students possess a unique perspective on their teachers, as they engage with them for extended periods. This exposure allows students to develop a comprehensive understanding of their instructors' teaching quality and style. For example, at my university, undergraduates are encouraged to provide feedback on their professors annually. Through this system, I was able to report a professor's consistent tardiness to class. Consequently, the professor apologized publicly and rectified his behavior, significantly benefiting the class's educational experience.

On the other hand, evaluations conducted by senior teachers may be subject to bias due to personal relationships with the teacher being assessed. This could lead to overestimation or underestimation of the evaluated teacher's abilities. Moreover, relying solely on test scores as an evaluation metric may compel teachers to exert excessive pressure on students in pursuit of higher assessment results.

In light of these considerations, it is evident that student feedback offers an optimal reflection of a teacher's competence and work ethic. By gathering input from those who interact closely and objectively with educators, schools can ensure a more accurate assessment of teaching performance. (200 words)

As far as I am concerned, I wholeheartedly believe that the most important way to evaluate teachers' skills is considering students' feedback because of instructors' foundamental effect on students' lives and futures. From my perspective, only a teacher who is loved by his students can be called an outstanding teacher because he would not only enhance students' understanding of a specific area, but also other aspects of lives, being advantageous to pupils' carrers and growth. This ability would be reflected by students' feedback. For instance, I used to study computer skills, and the teacher was so nice that he would not only tell knowledge but also help us how to spend a meaningful life, which helped me a lot. Although this would not enhance testing skills, but it can foster students' ability to solve difficulties. Therefore, I strongly hold that the best way to evaluate lecturer is considering students' feedback.

In my opinion, the most effective method for evaluating teachers' performance is by taking into account students' feedback, as educators play a pivotal role in shaping their students' lives and futures.

I firmly believe that an exceptional teacher is one who is admired and respected by their students, as they not only enhance their understanding of a particular subject but also contribute to their overall personal development. This impact can be best gauged through students' feedback. For example, I once had a computer skills instructor who went above and beyond to not only impart knowledge but also guide us on how to lead meaningful lives. Although this approach may not directly improve test scores, it undoubtedly fosters students' problem-solving abilities and resilience.

Hence, I maintain that the most accurate way to assess an educator's effectiveness is by considering the feedback provided by their students. (147 words)
