Resumen de la Tarea

Professor

For today's discussion, let's think about the problem of young people's lacking of independence. Some people think that young people nowadays are more dependent on their parents. At the same time, others believe that they do not have this problem at all and even become more independent than before. What is your take?

Student A

I think young people lack independence nowadays. Even in their 20s, many college students still rely on their parents to take care of them. Many can't cook, can't do laundry and lack basic life skills. In the past, children took care of themselves from an early age and even helped their parents look after their siblings.

Student B

I don't agree with Amy. Now more and more young people do part-time jobs or start their own businesses while they are in school and don't depend on their parents financially, so they can live apart from their parents earlier. It has become a trend for young people to live alone, and young people without self-care ability are just the exception.

From my perspective, I hold the point that young people are more independent since they have more chance to get resources and have great ability of learning. To elaborate, the world is developing rapidly and the internet can teach young people to do anything. So if they have some problems in their life, they can use the Internet to teach them and help them to solve. For instance, my friend Judy lives by herself in her own apartment. She had problem of the broken bulb in her bedroom. She searched the teaching lesson on the Internet about how to repair the broken bulb rather than asking someone else to help her fix it. She also bought the materials and tools online and she successfully fixed it by herself. Had it not been for her independence, she would not have had the chance to fix the bulb by herself. In conclusion, I firmly agree with the statement that nowadays young people are more independent than before.

Title: 6 文章修订

In my opinion, young people today exhibit greater independence due to increased access to resources and their ability to learn quickly. Rapid global development and the ubiquity of the internet have empowered young individuals to acquire new skills and solve problems independently. For example, my friend Judy, who lives alone in her apartment, encountered a broken light bulb in her bedroom. Instead of seeking assistance from others, she utilized online resources to learn how to repair it herself. She purchased the necessary materials and tools online and successfully fixed the issue on her own. Without her sense of independence, she might not have had the opportunity or confidence to tackle this problem by herself.

This growing independence among young people can be attributed not only to technological advancements but also to societal shifts that encourage self-reliance. Many students now work part-time jobs or start their own businesses while still in school, lessening their financial dependence on their parents. Furthermore, it has become increasingly common for young adults to live alone, with those lacking self-care abilities being the exception rather than the norm. These factors contribute significantly to fostering a generation of more independent and resourceful individuals who are better equipped to navigate life's challenges on their own terms. (211 words)
