Task Overview
Reading Passage
Create Student Committee to Decide Funding for Student Organizations I think students should be in charge of deciding which student organizations (for example, the jazz band or the hiking club) receive money from the university. Students should also be in charge of how much money each organization receives. A special committee made up of students could be created to make these decisions. Currently, these funding decisions are made by university administrators, but a student committee would know better than the administrators which organizations are most important to students and most deserving of the university's financial support. I’m sure a lot of students would be interested in serving on the committee, and those who do serve will gain valuable leadership experience.
Question

5.语言使用Original Answer: The proposal is that the university should create a student committee to decide funding for student organizations because students can be in charge of such things and some students may gain leadership experience. The proposal suggests that the university create a student committee to allocate funding for student organizations, as students can manage these decisions and potentially gain leadership experience. (建议使用更自然的表达方式,如“allocate funding”代替“decide funding”,以及使用“potentially”来表示可能性。)
However, the man in the listening doesn't agree with it because, for one, he thinks that students can't be too close to such organizations because they may not be so objective as the administrators do, which can lead to unfairness. However, the man disagrees because he believes that students' close involvement with these organizations may compromise their objectivity compared to administrators, leading to potential unfairness. (使用更准确的词汇和语法结构,如“compromise their objectivity”和“potential unfairness”。)
What's more, he thinks that it will be hard to find students interested in such committees because they are too busy with their studies, so it will consume too much time for the administration. Furthermore, he argues that finding interested students might be difficult due to their busy schedules, resulting in a significant time commitment for the administration. (使用更自然的连接词“Furthermore”,并简化句子结构。)
