Limit Borrowing Period for Library Books Currently, students are permitted to borrow library books and take them home for one month before they have to return them. I think the university library should limit the borrowing period to two weeks. First of all, I think most students will agree that they do not need a whole month to read a book-two weeks is enough time. Plus students who are waiting for a book to be returned so they can use it won't have to wait as long as they do now. This way they won't fall behind with their assignments. Sincerely, Mark Jones

The student suggests limiting the book-borrowing period to two weeks, arguing that it is sufficient for reading and reduces waiting times for other students. The woman in the conversation disagrees due to several reasons. First, she contends that this approach is not advantageous for students who utilize books for writing papers. For instance, writing a paper takes a long time, and during the process, students need the book to check for references, so it's not convenient for them to hold the book for a short time. Moreover, alternative solutions exist for students who cannot access desired books immediately due to them being borrowed by others. For instance, the interlibrary loan system allows students to order books from other libraries within the State University Library System, ensuring they can obtain their required materials promptly.

Revised Answer (140 words):

The woman in the conversation strongly disagrees with the opinion proposed in the letter. She believes that the writer failed to consider various ways students utilize books, such as using them for writing papers. This process requires further reading and analysis, which takes time. Additionally, she suggests that students who urgently need a book can obtain it through an alternative method: interlibrary loans.
