نظرة عامة على المهمة

Doctor Achebe

Today, we are going to discuss how successful software and tech products are launched and marketed. When companies launch and market these products, early adopters are important. Early adopters are customers who tend to buy the latest products and like to be the first to try out new features and processes. In today's discussion, I would like you to describe at least one advantage or disadvantage of being an early adopter. Please explain why you think this way.

Andrew

One obvious disadvantage is that early adopters probably pay a lot more for brand-new technology. When products first come out, they're often quite expensive, but once they've been on the market for a while, the price usually drops. That's why I usually wait to buy new technology.

Claire

New tech products might not always be more expensive -sometimes the company will give people a new product at a discount in exchange for trying it out and giving feedback on it. In fact, to me, that's the biggest advantage of being an early adopter - your feedback can guide future improvements to a product. That's a powerful feeling.

In response to Dr. Achebe’s discussion, I share my perspective with Andrew that being a early adopter is not a sensible decision, since the function of brand new products is not stable and mature enough to provide a good experience for consumers. The new technology are typically design or produced through special patents, so companies require to charge a high price to reach the break-even point, which is normally unaffordable for most customers. For example, iPhone, the first smart phone in the market, is marked up thousands of yuan at first. For Chinese customers, the little thing would cost them one month’s salary to purchase it. Besides, it is likely that the function of new technology in the market still require further improvements in the future, so it might often malfunction. Therefore, it is not cost-effective for consumers to pay a high price to purchase something that often goes wrong.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision

In response to Dr. Achebe's discussion, I concur with Andrew that being an early adopter may not be the most prudent choice, primarily due to the potential instability and immaturity of newly introduced products. Cutting-edge technologies are often developed or manufactured under exclusive patents, prompting companies to impose steep prices in order to reach their break-even point. This pricing strategy can render such products unaffordable for a majority of consumers. For instance, the iPhone, as the first smartphone in the market, initially carried a significant markup in China, costing customers an entire month's salary. Furthermore, it is plausible that novel technologies may require additional refinements after their initial release, resulting in occasional malfunctions. Consequently, it may not be cost-effective for consumers to invest heavily in products that are prone to functional issues. (137 words)

Even though Kelly made a good point with regard to convenient characteristics of the certification program, she ignores the fact that university can not be replaced and dropped. Just as Andrew said, university education can provide students more comprehensive and specialized courses, enabling them to be more competitive when they pursue a career. Apart from the reason set forth by Andrew, another reason I’d like to add is that long term school life during the university is important as well. That is because the school life provides good memory for students. For example, they will make close friends with their roommates or classmates after a long time of getting along with each other. They will discuss the assignments, accomplish the projects, have lunch together, enabling them to build a strong bond with each other. Therefore, due to its contribution to success and friendship, university education is still useful and could not be abandoned.

Section Title: 6 文章修订

While I acknowledge the appeal of shorter certification programs for their flexibility and adaptability to changing career preferences, I firmly believe that traditional university education remains indispensable in today's society. As Andrew rightly pointed out, university education offers a comprehensive and specialized understanding of a subject, fostering critical thinking, research skills, and a broader knowledge base. These attributes are essential for individuals to remain competitive in their chosen careers.

Moreover, the long-term nature of university education plays a crucial role in personal development. The campus experience allows students to forge lasting friendships with peers through shared experiences such as group projects, discussions, and social activities. These bonds not only enrich students' lives but also contribute to the formation of valuable professional networks.

In conclusion, despite the growing popularity of certification programs, traditional university education continues to hold its ground as an essential component of personal and professional development. Its comprehensive approach to learning and unique campus experience make it irreplaceable in shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared for success in their respective fields. (177 words)

With the development of economy, people with better finacial situation gradually choose to commute to workplace by driving due to the affordability of car costs. Charing additional fees towards them can put a financial burden on them, and result in searching new way for transportation during peak time to save money. This strategy can reduce the pressure of heavy traffic and the emissions of carbon dioxide produced by cars. However, someone rise the opinion that some people might not have other ways to travel and we should find a different solution, which is fair for everyone. In my opinion, implementing congestion pricing during peak hours can effectively alleviate traffic congestion and promote environmental sustainability. As the economy advances, an increasing number of individuals with greater financial means opt for private vehicles as their primary mode of transportation. Imposing additional fees during peak hours would encourage these drivers to explore alternative methods of commuting, thereby reducing traffic volume and vehicular emissions. While some argue that this approach may be unfair to those without access to alternative transportation options, I contend that if the majority of citizens were affected by this issue, governments would inevitably invest in improving public transit systems. Consequently, this would facilitate the successful implementation of congestion pricing policies and contribute to a more equitable solution for all. (127 words)
