Camera Borrowing for All The art department owns high-quality professional cameras that they lend out, but only to students enrolled in photography courses. I think all university students should be allowed to borrow these cameras. Many students love photography but are unable to fit a photography course into their schedules. If, however, they were allowed to borrow these cameras, they would still have a chance to advance their photography skills. I know that the art department has a limited number of these cameras, but they currently loan them out for a full day. If that loan time were shortened to a couple of hours, other students could borrow them. Sincerely, Mary Wilson

Original Answer: In the reading, a student proposes that the university should let students borrow cameras from the course. In the reading passage, a student proposes that the university should allow all students to borrow cameras from the art department. (原文中提到的是让所有学生从艺术系借相机,而不仅仅是从课程中借相机。) In this way, students can advance their photograph skills, By doing so, students can enhance their photography skills, (使用“enhance”更自然,同时注意将“photograph”改为“photography”。) and if the learning time is shortened, many students can access the cameras. However, in the conversation, the man disagrees with the proposal for two reasons. Firstly, most of the cameras are technologically sophisticated, so it is not easy for all students to use it without receiving any training before. And secondly, the students who take part in the photograph class have to take a lot of time to finish the assignment, and it's almost impossible for them to finish the assignment in such a shortened time. They have to go off-campus and shoot at different locations, which is not convenient to use the cameras.

Revised Answer (140 words): In the reading passage, a student proposes that the university should allow all students to borrow cameras from the art department. By doing so, students can enhance their photography skills, and if the loan time is reduced, more students could have access to these cameras. However, in the conversation, the man disagrees with this proposal for two main reasons. First, most of these cameras are technologically advanced, making it difficult for students without prior training to use them effectively. Second, photography students need a significant amount of time to complete their assignments, and it would be nearly impossible for them to finish within a shortened time frame. These assignments often require off-campus shooting at various locations, making the proposed camera usage inconvenient.

In the proposal, Mary suggests that all university students should be allowed to borrow the high-quality professional cameras owned by the art department, instead of just those enrolled in photography courses. She believes that this would give more students the opportunity to advance their photography skills. To accommodate this change, she proposes shortening the loan time from a full day to a couple of hours.

However, the man disagrees with Mary's proposal for two main reasons. First, he believes that most people would not benefit much from using these sophisticated cameras without extensive training, as they have many settings and adjustments. Second, he argues that the assignments for photography students are time-consuming and often require going off-campus to shoot in various locations. If everyone had access to the cameras as Mary suggests, it would be nearly impossible for photography students to complete their assignments within the shortened loan time.

He believes that students should not be cutting across the lawn and can use the existing walkways instead. He also thinks that the dirt path looks more natural and beautiful than a concrete sidewalk would.

根据审阅建议修改后的完整回答(140词):

The proposal in Patty Greene's letter suggests paving a concrete sidewalk across the main lawn on campus to prevent muddy shoes and improve the lawn's appearance. However, the man disagrees with this proposal for two reasons. First, he believes that students should not be cutting across the lawn as there are already nice walkways around that area. He thinks students can avoid getting their shoes dirty by taking an extra minute or two to walk around using these existing paths. Second, he finds the dirt path more natural and beautiful compared to a concrete sidewalk. In his opinion, covering the path with concrete would ruin its natural beauty. Therefore, he believes that the lawn should remain as it is without any changes.

Original Answer: Well, the students think that the university should pave a dirty path with concrete. First of all, they think that by doing so, the students won't get mud in their foot. And besides, they think that it will just make the route more attractive. And the man in the conversation doesn't like his idea. First of all, he thinks that the students don't have the motive to do it. I mean, he said that there's already a road, so they don't have to walk through this dirty path. They just can spend an extra minute to walk through the road. And also, he thinks that this road will just make them look natural. I mean, if you create concrete, the students think that you will just ruin it. And he didn't like concrete.

Corrected Answer: Well, some students believe that the university should pave a dirt path with concrete. Firstly, they argue that by doing so, students won't get mud on their shoes. Additionally, they believe that it would make the path more attractive. However, the man in the conversation disagrees with this idea. He believes that students don't have a valid reason for taking this shortcut since there's already a paved walkway nearby; they could simply take an extra minute to use it instead of walking through the dirt path. Furthermore, he thinks that leaving the path as is preserves its natural appearance and beauty; paving it with concrete would only ruin its charm. (修改了一些词汇和句子结构,使语言更自然、连贯。同时,对一些表达进行了调整,使其更准确。)
