Professor
As I mentioned in class, governments make public policies to describe their responses to various problems that affect a community. Part of this process involves setting and defending priorities about which issues deserve the most attention and resources. For example, governments need to decide whether they should spend more money on education or on environmental protections. If you were a policy maker, which issue would you argue is more important—education or environmental protections? Why?
Sara B.
We all live on planet Earth, and it is the only planet we have. Therefore, we must take care of it. Clearly, protecting the environment should be the government's priority over education. I think the REAL question is, which approach to protecting the environment—restricting pollution, regulating population, promoting clean energy, or something else—should be the government's priority.
Taehyun O.
I disagree with Sara that that the environment is more important than education. Education is actually the best way to protect the environment. Educated people can see how their decisions affect the world around them. Also, with better science and technology education, we can develop solutions to environmental problems. Therefore, I think the government should spend more money on education.

While Sara's statement is compelling, it may not be very realistic for most of the countries in the world to prioritize environmental protection over education. That is due to the serious poverty condition in those countries and the large sum of money environmental protection needs, given the multiple aspects of environment problems existing nowadays and the requirement of high technology. Devotion in education is comparatively more economical and cost-effective. Therefore, I agree with Taehyun that education is more crucial for a country. By donating money to purchase books and improving the teaching facilities, students-especially students in remote villages-can enjoy better learning environment and eventually grow into intellectual individuals. After getting into the job market, they can help the society operate better by devoting to the construction of it. This could alleviate the inequality between the wealthy and the poor and improve the economy, benefiting the overall welfare of citizens.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
While Sara's argument holds merit, prioritizing environmental protection over education may not be feasible for many countries worldwide. This is primarily due to the severe poverty conditions and the substantial financial investment required for environmental protection, considering the multitude of existing environmental issues and the need for advanced technology. In contrast, investing in education is comparatively more economical and cost-effective. Therefore, I concur with Taehyun that education holds greater importance for a nation. By allocating funds towards purchasing books and enhancing teaching facilities, students—particularly those in remote villages—can benefit from an improved learning environment and ultimately develop into well-informed individuals. Upon entering the workforce, they can contribute to society's betterment by dedicating themselves to its development. This approach could help alleviate wealth disparities, boost the economy, and enhance overall citizen welfare. (136 words)

Since the well-educated people have the awareness of environment problems and perfer to follow the protective laws which benefit all, they are willing to be strict to theirselves and avoid some harm to their hometown. For instance, Singapore is the city where has the most strict policy and high-income citizen. It has became a garden city for many years since more education also benefits environmental protections. While Sara's viewpoint is accurate to some extent, but short-term priority for environment can hardly bring long-term persistance. Thus, I firmly believe that education is more worth investing compared to transitory environment protection.

6. Article Revision
In my opinion, I agree with Taehyun's assertion that prioritizing education can lead to better environmental protection, as it fosters a more informed citizenry and encourages the development of comprehensive conservation policies. Well-educated individuals are typically more aware of environmental issues and are inclined to adhere to protective regulations for the greater good. For example, Singapore, a city with strict policies and a highly educated population, has been recognized as a garden city for many years due to the positive impact of education on environmental preservation. While Sara's argument holds some merit, focusing solely on short-term environmental protection measures may not yield lasting results. Therefore, I firmly believe that investing in education is a more valuable approach than solely concentrating on temporary environmental safeguards. (127 words)
