Reading Passage
University to Match Roommates Based on Interests After many years of matching first-year students with dormitory roommates at random, the university will now try to assign roommates based on similar interests. Before they arrive on campus, all incoming students will fill out a questionnaire about their likes and dislikes and their habits By matching students with similar interests and habits, the school hopes to improve the experience of first-year students, who will now be more likely to get along well with their roommates The plan will also reduce work for the housing office because fewer students will ask to switch rooms in the middle of the school year.

From the topic development aspect, the response is coherent and well-organized, with clear connections between ideas and sufficient support or examples. However, there is room for improvement in terms of providing more specific details from the listening passage to strengthen the argument. For example, mentioning how the woman's roommate situation demonstrates that people with different interests can still be good friends could be a stronger point to support her opinion. Additionally, elaborating on other reasons why people might want to move out despite having similar interests would further enhance the response.
5.语言使用Original Answer: Well, according to the newspaper, the university decided to assign roommates based on similar interests. However, in the conversation, the woman thinks this proposal doesn't make sense. Because first of all, she takes herself as an example. She has different majors and interests with her roommates, but they still are good friends. So she doesn't think it is necessary to have the similar interests to make good friends. Apart from that, she thinks there are many other reasons for the leave out. For example, roommates have different schedules and so on. Overall, she thinks this proposal is not very necessary and will make no sense.
Corrected Answer: Well, according to the newspaper, the university decided to assign roommates based on similar interests. However, in the conversation, the woman believes this proposal is not logical. Firstly, she uses herself as an example. She has different majors and interests compared to her roommate, but they are still good friends. Thus, she does not think it is essential to share similar interests to form strong friendships. Additionally, she believes there are numerous other reasons for people wanting to move out. For instance, roommates may have conflicting schedules and so forth. In conclusion, she feels this proposal is unnecessary and will not be effective. (在这个修改后的版本中,我们使用了更自然的语言表达,例如将"doesn't make sense"改为"is not logical",将"necessary"改为"essential"等。同时,我们也对一些句子进行了调整,使其更符合英语表达习惯。)
