Today, we’re going to discuss the ways in which companies can impact society. In your opinion, what is the best way for a company to have a positive impact on society?
Sarah
I believe that companies should focus on their own operations. While charitable giving can be beneficial, it is a temporary fix that doesn’t address the root causes of serious social and environmental problems. By doing business in more responsible ways, companies can have a more meaningful and lasting impact on society. Not only that, but if they attract positive attention from consumers and increase their profits because of their actions they will inspire other companies to do the same. That’s the only way we can really fix society.
John
I disagree with Sarah. While those are very good points, I think that companies should focus on charitable giving and philanthropy. Charitable giving can provide immediate relief to those in need and contribute to the overall well-being of society right away. It could take years or decades for business changes to have a positive impact on society, and most people just can’t wait that long. For instance, donating money to a school can help students learn more effectively almost immediately.

I agree with the idea of Sarah. The main reason is that utilizing our network of friends family and acquaintances can serve as an effective strategy to search a job. Given me myself and my elder sister, we both get our first part-time job when we were undergraduates through our teacher in the campus. Many Individuals might also choose to find jobs with their own networks so that they can find jobs fit themselves better. This would lead to a serious disaster to the freshmen's life and significantly ruin the trust between employers and employees. David asserts that job ads are the most effective way to find a new job in a new city.
例如,“bust it is unnecessary that job ads provide a more direct route to potential job opportunities.” 应改为 “but it is not guaranteed that job ads always provide a more direct route to potential job opportunities.”

Section Title: Exploring Job Search Strategies in a New City
In response to the professor's question, I concur with Sarah's perspective that leveraging our network of friends, family, and acquaintances is an effective strategy for job hunting in a new city. Drawing from personal experience, both my elder sister and I secured our first part-time jobs as undergraduates through a campus teacher. Many individuals opt to utilize their networks to find suitable job opportunities that align with their skills and preferences. Conversely, attempting to secure employment in a new city without seeking assistance from one's network may result in unfavorable outcomes such as being trapped in ill-suited positions or even facing dangerous situations. Such negative experiences can severely impact an individual's life and erode trust between employers and employees.
While David's argument that job ads offer a more direct route to potential job opportunities is valid, it is essential not to underestimate the value of personal connections when seeking employment in unfamiliar territory. (163 words)

In response to the professor's question, while I recognize the importance of capital and management skills as mentioned by Claire and Paul, I believe that being observant is the most crucial trait for a successful entrepreneur. Being observant entails the ability to envision future developments based on current situations and evidence. In today's highly competitive business landscape, identifying unique opportunities is key to achieving success. An entrepreneur who can accurately assess market conditions and adapt accordingly stands to reap substantial rewards.
For instance, consider the prevalence of sugary beverages during hot summers. These drinks often contain additives harmful to human health and may contribute to obesity if consumed excessively.
