Overzicht van de Taak

Professor

On the day of outdoor classes, students will be transported to local parks or nature preserves, and teachers can help students explore nature and learn about the enviroment. Do you think is a good idea?

Student A

I do not think these classes would be a worthwhile use of insrtuctional time and of school resuorces. These classes could put susbstantial pressure on schools' financial resources and on teachers, who may have to redesign their lesson plans.

Student B

Outdoor classes can increase students' motivation for learning about interconnectedness in natural world.

While II can understand Kelly’s point that taking these classed is not a good idea for students and professors since these classes make professors have more stress and pressure, I agree with Paul’s perspective that taking these classes help students become a high-achiever in their academic learning. As mentioned by Paul, when taking these classes, students are encouraged to interact with natural world, in which process students are able to know different types of plants and animals, thus obtaining and gaining more knowledge about ecology; however, without such classes, students could merely absorb knowledge from books. Apart from what Paul has raised, I add that it is well-known that such classes could help students to lower levels of stress. By taking these classes, students are completely engaged to appreciate beautiful view in natural world, distracting themselves form daily worries and concerns, thereby helping themselves to relax; on the contrary, when these classed absent and unavailable, students might be occupied by their schoolwork. Therefore, taking these classes, without doubt, places all students as beneficiaries.

改进建议示例1(英文): Instead of saying "students are completely engaged to appreciate beautiful view in natural world," you could say, "students can engage in hands-on activities, such as observing plants and animals up close, which can enhance their understanding of the natural world."

改进建议示例2(英文): To support the point about stress reduction, you could include a specific study or data, such as "According to a study conducted by XYZ University, students who participated in outdoor classes reported a 20% decrease in stress levels compared to those who did not."

改进建议示例1(英文): Add an introduction: "In the debate over whether outdoor classes are beneficial for students, there are arguments both for and against their implementation. While some believe that they may put unnecessary pressure on schools and teachers, others argue that they can enhance students' motivation and well-being. In this essay, I will argue in favor of outdoor classes for their potential to improve students' academic performance and reduce stress."

改进建议示例2(英文): Improve body paragraphs: "One major advantage of outdoor classes is their ability to foster a deeper understanding of the natural world. For example, instead of merely reading about different types of plants and animals in textbooks, students can observe them up close in their natural habitats. This hands-on experience can lead to a more profound appreciation for the interconnectedness of ecosystems and inspire curiosity about environmental issues."

Although I can understand Kelly's concern that outdoor classes may not be the most efficient use of instructional time and resources, potentially causing additional stress for educators, I concur with Paul's viewpoint that these classes can significantly enhance students' academic performance. As Paul mentioned, engaging with the natural world encourages students to learn about various plants and animals, thereby expanding their ecological knowledge beyond what they could glean from textbooks alone. In addition to Paul's argument, I would like to emphasize the well-documented benefits of outdoor classes in reducing stress levels among students. Immersing themselves in nature allows students to appreciate its beauty and temporarily escape their daily worries and concerns, promoting relaxation. Conversely, without access to such classes, students may become overwhelmed by their schoolwork. Thus, incorporating outdoor classes into the curriculum undeniably offers numerous advantages for all students involved. (145 words)
