Görev Genel Bakışı

Okuma Parçası

Campus Bookstore Should Sell Snacks and Drinks In addition to selling books and textbooks, I think the campus bookstore should also offer drinks and snacks for sale. The bookstore could have a few chairs and tables available where students could sit and have a snack or something to drink, while they’re looking through books and deciding what to buy. It would also be convenient for students who got hungry between classes, and wanted to grab something to eat before going to their next class. Sincerely,  Matt Shapiro

Original: In the letter, the student suggests Kemper's the bookstore should sell snacks and drinks. This is because there should have chairs and tables available for students to sit while deciding what to buy, and it is convenient for hungry students between classes. However, the woman opposes this. First, she points out that the drinks are easily spent spilled on an expensive book by accident, so the book will be ruined. Moreover, she argues that there is already a convenience store in the student center selling same goods, which is much closer to academic building. However, bookstores are all the way in the other part of the campus. As a result, it is not convenient for students between classes to grab food.

(将“Kemper's”改为“the”,因为这里不需要特指某个书店。将“spent”改为“spilled”,因为这里表示的是饮料容易洒在书上。)

Revised (140 words): In the letter, the student suggests that the campus bookstore should sell snacks and drinks. The proposal aims to provide chairs and tables for students to sit while browsing books and offer convenience for hungry students between classes. However, the woman disagrees with this idea. Firstly, she highlights that drinks can be easily spilled on expensive books accidentally, causing damage to them. Furthermore, she argues that a convenience store already exists in the student center selling similar items and is much closer to academic buildings than the bookstore located on the other side of campus. Consequently, it would not be convenient for students between classes to grab food from the bookstore.

原文:The latter The letter (改为letter,因为这里是指信件,而不是后者) proposes that campus bookstores should sell snacks and drinks for the students who are hungry between classes, and students can also have a snack when they are buying books. However, the woman disagrees with this proposal. First of all, she thinks that it is easy for students to spill something on the books accidentally. Therefore, the books will be ruined. Some of the books are very expensive, so it is not good to do so. Additionally, the campus has a convenient store at the student center which sells snacks, and it is much closer to the buildings where students have classes, so students can purchase snacks there, and the campus bookstore is much further.

Revised Answer (140 words):

The letter proposes that campus bookstores should sell snacks and drinks for students who are hungry between classes, providing a place for them to enjoy refreshments while browsing books. However, the woman disagrees with this proposal for two main reasons. Firstly, she believes that having food and drinks in the bookstore increases the risk of accidental spills on books, potentially damaging or ruining expensive textbooks. Secondly, she points out that there is already a convenience store located in the student center which sells snacks and is much closer to academic buildings than the bookstore. This makes it more accessible for students to grab a quick snack between classes. In conclusion, due to concerns about potential damage to books and existing alternatives for purchasing snacks on campus, the woman does not support the proposal.

Original Answer: Well, the proposal is that the bookstall should sell drinks and snacks. Because first, students are available to sit down and have something to eat or drink when they are reading books. And next, if students are hungry between classes, they can go to the bookstall to have something to eat. However, the woman disagrees with this idea. Because first, she points out that the books will be easily get ruined if there are students drink or eat at the bookstall. And specifically, some of the books are rarely expensive. What's more, she points out that there has already been a convenience store which is much closer to the building where students take classes. The convenience store also sells food and drinks, so students are unlikely to go to the bookstall.

Corrected Answer: The proposal suggests that the bookstore should sell drinks and snacks. Firstly, this would allow students to sit down and enjoy refreshments while browsing books. Secondly, it would provide a convenient option for students who are hungry between classes. However, the woman disagrees with this idea for two reasons. She believes that having food and drinks in the bookstore could lead to accidental spills and damage to expensive books. Furthermore, she mentions that there is already a convenience store closer to the academic buildings where students have their classes. This store also sells food and drinks, making it less likely for students to visit the bookstore for refreshments. (原文中的“bookstall”改为“bookstore”,以保持一致;将“rarely expensive”改为“expensive”,使表达更准确。)

Revised Version (140 words):

The proposal suggests that the campus bookstore should sell drinks and snacks for two main reasons: it would provide a comfortable space for students to enjoy refreshments while browsing books, and it would offer a convenient option for those who are hungry between classes. However, the woman disagrees with this idea for two main reasons. Firstly, she is concerned that having food and drinks in the bookstore could lead to accidental spills, potentially damaging expensive books. Secondly, she highlights the fact that there is already a convenience store closer to the academic buildings where students have their classes. This store also sells food and drinks, making it a more convenient option for students. Therefore, she believes that adding refreshments to the bookstore is unnecessary and could even be detrimental to the books.

Revised (140 words):

The proposal suggests that the campus bookstore should sell drinks and snacks since it would provide a comfortable space for students to eat while browsing books and offer a convenient option for those hungry between classes. However, the woman disagrees with this idea for two main reasons. Firstly, she believes that having students eating and drinking in the bookstore could easily lead to damage of the expensive books. Secondly, she points out that there is already a convenience store located closer to the academic buildings where students attend classes. This store also offers food and drinks, making it more likely for students to visit it instead of going to the bookstore. Therefore, she believes that implementing this proposal would not be practical or beneficial for the campus community.
