Task Overview
Reading Passage
Frustration Tolerance When young children are not able to accomplish their goals, they may become frustrated and act inappropriately. However, as children mature, they can learn to manage or tolerate frustration. The development of frustration tolerance allows children to continue to work toward completing tasks, even when their initial attempts are unsuccessful. Parents can help their children develop frustration tolerance by deliberately restricting their own responses to their children's demands for help. By gradually reducing their response time, parents can teach children to manage their frustration while they keep trying to accomplish their goals, despite any difficulties or setbacks that they may encounter.

修订版(140字):
Parents can help their children develop frustration tolerance by gradually reducing their response time to their children's demands for help, as demonstrated in the lecture example. When the professor's son was young, he would become frustrated and call for help when trying to stack wooden blocks. Instead of immediately helping him, the professor would wait a few minutes longer each day before assisting his son. As a result, the child learned to manage his frustration and continued trying to stack the blocks on his own. Eventually, he was able to build a tower with the blocks without any assistance from his father. This example illustrates how parents can teach their children to tolerate frustration by slowly decreasing their involvement in solving their children's problems.
