Task Overview
Reading Passage
Incentive Subsidy Sometimes goverments want to encourage people to purchase products that will beneft them, as well as the society as a whole. Since people may be hesitant or reluctant to buy these products if they have a high price, a government can provide extra motivation to encourage people to purchase such products by offering an incentive subsidy. With an incentive subsidy, the government helps to reduce the price of the product for individual buyers. By subsidizing these purchases and thus making them less expensive, the government can increase the number of individuals purchasing these products, thus benefiting the entire society.

Revised Answer (140 words): People may be hesitant to buy high-priced products, so the government provides an incentive subsidy to encourage the purchase of these products. In the lecture, the professor uses solar panels as an example. Solar panels are an excellent energy source that can reduce energy costs and provide a sustainable alternative to traditional fuels. The energy produced is clean, but the initial investment in solar panels can be expensive for many people. To address this issue, some governments offer subsidies to those who purchase solar panels. After installing the solar panels, homeowners can contact a specialist to verify their installation.
