Fee Increase for Recreation Center Use The university administration today announced a $25 increase in the student fee for using the campus recreation center. The higher fee, which all students are required to pay, will provide funds to upgrade the facility and provide newer, more modern exercise equipment at the center. “We expect the improvements to increase student use of the facility,” explained David Smith, director of the student activities office. Mr. Smith also noted that the decision was approved because “We feel that $25 is a reasonable increase that will be affordable for individual students.”

Revised Answer (140 words):
According to a recent announcement, the university administration plans to increase the fee by $25 for using the equipment at the campus recreation center. The additional funds will be used to upgrade the facility and provide newer, more modern exercise equipment. The administration believes that this increase is both reasonable and affordable for students.
The man in the conversation agrees with this plan for several reasons. Firstly, he believes that students currently avoid using the recreation center due to its outdated and poorly maintained equipment. By upgrading these facilities, more students will be encouraged to exercise and relieve stress. Secondly, he argues that a $25 annual fee is relatively insignificant compared to other expenses students may incur throughout the year. Considering the potential benefits of an improved recreation center, he believes the fee increase is justified.
