Many technological are not limited to space mission and are not just used by astronaut. They can be used in industries, and, in fact many modern products and gadgets that many people use are inspired by space exploration. For example carbon fibreglass is now used as roofing material. Besides that, space exploration can be very educational and inspirational to public, especially to the next generation. Lots of national space program make effort to educate and inspire students so that they could pursue careers in the field of science. For instance, NASA has teaching program that require astronauts to tech a science class in local schools so that students might pursue "STEM" career areas like science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
