Our current unit looks at tourism and the benefit it has on a country’s economy. Many argue that while tourism can indeed be a money-making endeavor, it can do more harm than good, especially tourism to small, remote places that are not heavily populated. What is your opinion? Should local or national governments promote tourism to remote regions not typically visited by tourists before? Why?

Student A

Tourism has always been a lucrative business. Improving the economies of these rural regions, especially if those regions are poor, can only have a positive effect. People can have a better quality of life by showcasing their food and traditions to the outside world. It’s a chance the people might not get without promotion from the government.

Student B

I don’t think governments should promote tourism to remote regions. The people are likely not asking for this kind of industry or for this kind of attention. Instead, governments should develop other means of improving a region’s economic situation, like expanding agriculture or other industries. These efforts will have a stronger, more permanent impact on the region than bringing in groups of tourists.

Title: 6 文章修订

In the context of economic development, tourism has often been regarded as a profitable endeavor. However, I strongly believe that promoting tourism in remote and sparsely populated regions is not an effective approach for governments to take, as resources could be allocated more efficiently elsewhere. Specifically, the lack of infrastructure and amenities in rural areas would require substantial investment from the government to create tourist attractions.

For instance, constructing roads, restaurants, and facilities to accommodate tourists would consume a significant portion of tax revenue. This expenditure could alternatively be directed towards building affordable housing for impoverished citizens who are unable to secure adequate shelter on their own.

Opponents may argue that tourism is a lucrative industry capable of generating sufficient income to offset the costs associated with its development. Nevertheless, numerous cases demonstrate that attracting tourists to remote locations can prove challenging. Furthermore, during periods of economic downturn – such as the present – people may not have disposable income for leisure activities. Consequently, investing in agriculture or other industries native to these remote areas would represent a more stable and secure strategy for promoting overall well-being and economic growth. Urban spaces are often subject to debate regarding their optimal use, particularly when it comes to prioritizing between essential facilities and green spaces. While some argue that the limited urban space should be allocated for indispensable structures such as hospitals and clinics, I maintain that incorporating more green spaces in cities is crucial for the overall well-being of the population.

The benefits of green spaces in urban areas are multifaceted, encompassing both physical and mental health improvements. Trees and plants contribute significantly to air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, while also purifying water sources. Consequently, a cleaner environment promotes healthier living conditions for city dwellers. Furthermore, green spaces offer opportunities for leisure activities such as socializing with friends, taking family walks, or hosting community events – all of which contribute positively to people's mental health.

While the argument for constructing more hospitals and clinics on available land may seem compelling at first glance, many cities already possess an abundance of such facilities. Instead of further saturating urban landscapes with commercial establishments like shopping malls and bars, it is imperative to prioritize the development of green spaces that foster a healthier lifestyle for residents. By striking a balance between essential infrastructure and natural environments within cities, we can create more sustainable and livable urban communities. (220 words)

Thus, expansion of hospitals and public transportation may urgent, benefiting to large amount of people living in urban. Consequently, using available urban space to construct basic facilities is the good decision, which contributes to public more.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision

I agree with Kelly's viewpoint that essential facilities should take precedence over recreational spaces such as parks. As urban populations continue to grow, cities become increasingly crowded, negatively impacting the quality of life for residents. For instance, adults often endure long and uncomfortable commutes due to congested public transportation and traffic-clogged roads. This inconvenience not only extends their travel time but also reduces the amount of time they can spend with their families.

Furthermore, hospitals in urban areas are often overcrowded, forcing patients to schedule appointments well in advance or wait for available medical equipment even in emergency situations. This can exacerbate existing health issues and put vulnerable individuals at greater risk. Therefore, prioritizing the expansion of hospitals and public transportation infrastructure is crucial to improving the lives of a larger number of urban dwellers. In this context, allocating available urban space for the development of essential facilities is a more beneficial decision that serves the greater public interest. (164 words)

I concur agree with Kelly's perspective for the reason viewpoint (Changed "perspective" to "viewpoint" for better word choice) that necessities essential facilities (Replaced "necessities" with "essential facilities" for clarity) should take precedence over recreational spaces such as parks. As urban populations continue to grow, cities become increasingly crowded, negatively impacting the quality of life for residents. For instance, adults often endure long and uncomfortable commutes (Reworded "suffer agonies for daily commuting" for better readability) due to congested public transportation and traffic-clogged roads. This inconvenience not only extends their travel time but also reduces the amount of time they can spend with their families.

Furthermore, hospitals in urban areas are superior to a park for the purpose of relaxing. Nowadays, more and more people decide to live often overcrowded, forcing patients to schedule appointments well in urban, therefore, urban becomes more crowded, which decrease people's experience of living. Take adults as an example, they have to suffer agonies for daily commuting: cramped railway and gridlock roads. Such inconvenience elongates their time spending on commuting and time spending with family members significantly reduced. Moveover, hostpials are too crowded, either. People have to make advance (Reworded "make an appointment at least a week before they can access to doctor. Even worse, a elder who suffer from sudden diseases may still have to doctor" for better readability) or wait until the for available medical equipment available, which may raise the risk of getting worse. Thus, even in emergency situations. This can exacerbate existing health issues and put vulnerable individuals at greater risk. Therefore, prioritizing the expansion of hospitals and public transportation may urgent, benefiting to large amount of people living in urban. Consequently, using infrastructure is crucial (Changed "may urgent" to "is crucial" for better word choice) to improving the lives of a larger number of urban dwellers. In this context, allocating available urban space to construct basic for the development of essential facilities is the good decision, which contributes to a more beneficial decision that serves the greater public more.interest (Reworded last sentence for better readability).

I concur with Andrew's perspective for the reason that a gap year has a benefit impact on students' future career. It is a excellent opportunity for them to get a glance at other field they may not experience before, such as doing part-time jobs. First, when hunting a job, they are able to learn some knowledge of preparing for a job interview -- have a proper appearance and learn to talk with leader politely with unique insight towards a certain topic. Additionally, having woking experience helps a young teen to mature in his outlook and behavior. For instance, he will learn the discipline of getting to work on time, accepting responsibility while on the work to finish tasks well. Bosses will not have the patience explaining how to operate a machine properly or cut him a slack when he is late for work. Therefore, they will apply such experience to their future career, aiding them to have a better performance when they are truly in working. Consequently, I think a gap year paves the way for career success for youngsters.

In my opinion, I will subscribe to Andrew's opinion that the government should pay more attention on education. Apart from improving people's ability to come up with more solutions to benefit the world's environment through education, another reason I want to add is that education is not solely related to environmental aspect of the world but much more. It not only benefit environmental issues, but is also related to other aspects of life such as economics, technological enhancement and human's overall moral quality. With education improvements thriving, people in the entire world will become more well-behaved thus lead to a better living environment for all humans. The essay effectively addresses the task requirements by expressing a personal opinion and contributing to the discussion. However, there is room for improvement in terms of elaborating on the viewpoint and providing more specific examples or details to support the argument. Additionally, some minor grammatical errors can be addressed to improve language use.

Suggestion 2: Use transition words or phrases (e.g., "furthermore," "in addition," "on the other hand") to guide readers through your argument and create a smoother reading experience.

Example 1: Instead of starting with "Apart from improving people's ability...," try using a transition phrase like "Furthermore, it is important to consider that education is not solely related to environmental aspects..." Example 2: In your conclusion, you could use a phrase like "In light of these points" or "Taking all factors into account" before stating your final opinion on why education is more important than environmental protections.
