Licensing Products that are produced and sold in one country often have the potential to be successfully marketed to customers in another country.However, it can be difficult and expensive for a company to set up production and distribution abroad. Therefore, companies may use licensing as an easier alternative.Licensing means that in exchange for a share of the profits, one company authorizes another company located in a different country to manufacture and sell its products. Additionally, since the foreign company has more knowledge of the local culture, it can successfully market the products there, which in turn allows both companies to profit.

修改后的回答(140字):
Licensing products involve a company authorizing another company in a different country to sell its products. The professor illustrated a company called Kitchen Helper. This company developed a fridge that is selling well in Canada. This company also anticipated that the product would sell well in Japan. Subsequently, they discovered that shipping the fridge to Japan would be very expensive. Ultimately, the company found a Japanese partner to manufacture the fridge. This arrangement offers two benefits. The first advantage is that it can still use the Kitchen Helper company's name brand when it sells in Japan. Since the Japanese company understands the local consumers, they can create an effective advertisement. Eventually, they both can make money.
