University Should Pave Running Trails The university has about three miles of unpaved dirt running trails that pass through the forest near campus. I think these trails should be paved with cement. One reason for paving the trails would be to increase their safety. When it rains, the dirt turns to mud and becomes very slippery, so the runners who use them can slip and fall. Pavement would solve this problem. Also, paving would make the trails look nicer, which would encourage students to use them. Bumps in the trail would be smoothed out and weeds would be paved over, making the trail more attractive to runners.

5.语言使用Original: The letter says that the school should pave the trail to increase the safety and to look nicer in order to attract more people. The man is opposed to the proposal because first of all, it's actually very dangerous to run on a hard surface. It will cause injuries to your body. It's better to run on a soft surface. In addition to this, people love the way it is right now. It offers people an opportunity to get away from the ordinary buildings in the university. It makes people to feel like they're in nature. They don't have to renovate it.
Corrected: The letter suggests that the school should pave pave (改为:pave) the trail to increase safety and improve its appearance, thereby attracting more people. The man opposes this proposal primarily because running on a hard surface is actually quite dangerous and can cause injuries. He believes that running on a soft surface is preferable. Furthermore, he points out that people currently enjoy the trails as they are, as they provide an escape from the typical university buildings and create a sense of being in nature. Thus, there is no need for renovation.
Revised (140 words): The letter suggests that the university should pave the running trails to enhance safety and improve their appearance, which would attract more students. However, the man opposes this proposal for two main reasons. Firstly, he argues that running on a hard surface is actually quite dangerous and can lead to injuries, whereas running on a soft surface is better for one's body. Secondly, he highlights that people currently appreciate the trails' natural state, as it offers an escape from typical campus buildings and creates a sense of being immersed in nature. Therefore, he believes there is no need for renovation, as the trails already serve their purpose and are enjoyed by the users.
