Flipped Classroom With traditional teaching methods, teachers use class time to lecture and introduce new information to students. Students then perform the challenging task of applying the new information by completing assignments outside of class without assistance from the teacher. Research has shown, however, that students may learn better when traditional methods are reversed and teachers instead use the flipped classroom method. Using this method, teachers often record lectures for students to listen to on their own outside of class. This makes class time available for students to complete the more challenging task of applying the new information from the lecture by working on assignments in class with guidance from the teacher.
