This week we talked about how important taking time off from work or school is forpeople's well-being. Some people believe they get the most benefit when that time off isstructured: that is it involves planning in advance about what will be accomplished onthat day. Others believe it is better to enjoy the day with no plan for how to spend it. lnthis discussion post please indicate which of those approaches to spending time off fromwork on school you prefer and why?
Claire
i find it beneficial to do some advance planning for my free time. I live far away from myfamily so when I am getting ready to visit them during a school holiday, l always plan mytime off from school very carefully. That way l have enough time to visit with each familymember.
Paul
Personally, I prefer not to make any plans for my free time. I go to school, and I have apart-time job each week. Imake a schedule to be sure l can complete both my work andstudies. So when Ihave time off from work and school, l just want to relax with no plan.

From my perspective, I firmly concur with Paul’s assertion that it is more relaxing to have no plans during resting day, as people can enjoy a different lifestyle for a while. First, people have worked or studied for a long time, and everyday they need to make a schedule of plans. For example, for student, they have many majors such as math, science that need to learn. Thus, they need to divide their time in several parts to make sure they can finish all homework. Changing lifestyle that make no plans on weekend provide them an opportunity to do things by following their heart, which can be an outlet to stress relief. Furthermore, being freedom always achieve individual’s overall well-being. For instance, when we hang out with friend, we can just go to the places which attract us rather than travel to many places and spend much time on transportation. However, Claire’s opinion also make sense, but it only useful in a specific situation, like having a long vacation.

In my opinion, I wholeheartedly agree with Paul's perspective that having no plans during days off allows for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience, as it offers individuals a chance to temporarily break away from their structured routines. People often find themselves immersed in work or academics, necessitating the creation of schedules to manage various tasks and responsibilities. For instance, students must allocate time for multiple subjects such as math and science to ensure they complete all assignments. By embracing an unstructured approach on weekends or days off, individuals can follow their hearts and engage in activities that provide stress relief.
Moreover, the freedom to spontaneously choose how to spend one's time contributes significantly to overall well-being. For example, when socializing with friends, it can be more enjoyable to visit places that genuinely interest the group rather than adhering to a strict itinerary that may involve excessive travel time. While Claire's preference for advanced planning is valid, it seems most applicable in specific situations such as long vacations or visits with distant family members. (177 words)
