Task Overview

Professor

Our next class will focus on how companies maintain their staffing levels. While it is important for a company to look for new employees to fill open positions, many believe it is equally important for a company to retain the workers it already has on staff. In your opinion, what is the best way for a company to encourage its employees to stay at the company instead of seeking a different job elsewhere?

Paul

I think the best thing a company could do to keep its employees is to create a work environment that employees look forward to going to five days a week. Cramped office spaces or disorderly factory floors are not places I would want to spend a third of my life.

Claire

I see Paul's point. But even more important than a nice workspace is making sure the employees don't feel stuck in their jobs. Companies should offer opportunities for employees to advance their skills so they can get new positions within the company if they want.Employees should feel like they have a goal to work toward

User Sample

I share Claire’s perspective on the methods for a company to retain its employees. My reasons stem from the improvement of the employees’ skills lead to the rise of the remuneration, so they tends to stay at the company. For example, I am a tutor in an education company, and when I attend a training session, I can learn new teaching techniques and strategies. Then, I use those methods in working and finally achieved a better work performance. Eventually, I got a manager position, and my remuneration has increased. Section Title: 6 Article Revision

I concur with Claire's viewpoint regarding the most effective strategies for companies to retain their employees. The crux of my argument lies in the fact that enhancing employees' skills leads to increased remuneration, which in turn encourages them to remain with the company. By offering training sessions, companies empower their employees with specialized knowledge and advanced skills, enabling them to secure higher positions within the organization and subsequently receive higher remuneration. For instance, as a tutor in an educational institution, attending training sessions has allowed me to acquire new teaching techniques and strategies. Implementing these methods in my work has resulted in improved performance, ultimately leading to a managerial position and an increase in my salary. The prospect of earning more within the company dissuades me from seeking employment elsewhere. Consequently, I am convinced that providing opportunities for skill development and facilitating career advancement are paramount for companies aiming to retain their workforce. (158 words)
