Let’s think about population trends in urban and rural areas (villages). Living in urban areas can be expensive; nonetheless, when they have a choice of where to live, people in some countries do not wish to live in rural areas even if the cost of living there is lower. If governments of some countries want to attract more people to live in rural areas or villages, what is the best strategy or approach that governments can use? Why?
Student A
In my country, urban centers are great places to live because you can access shops, restaurants, and museums. If the government of my country wanted to attract me to live in a rural area, the area would first have to attract more businesses focused on entertainment and culture than most rural areas have now.
Student B
I would live in a rural area if the government gave more financial help to farmers. Although it may cost very little to live in a rural area, it costs a lot to begin a career in agriculture. If I had financial help, I would start my own farm and be happy to live in a rural area.

As far as I am concerned, government needs to invest in healthcare, education, and community development if they want to attract more people to live in the countryside. To be more specific, it is only a place that has sufficient healthcare and educational resources that people will be willing to settle down. For instance, there are lots of people from rural areas moving to big cities in China. The reason they leave their hometown is that they want to live in a livable place, where they can go hospital easily, have a colorful community life, and their children can go to good schools. So, if there are enough healthcare and educational resources, people from the countryside won’t leave their hometown and more and more people will be attracted to rural areas because of both sufficient living resources and beautiful landscapes. Admittedly, giving financial help to farmers may have some effect. However, a healthy and stable community is more crucial for attracting people to live in rural areas than just giving financial aid to farmers.

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, the most effective strategy for governments to attract people to rural areas involves investing in healthcare, education, and community development. A location with adequate healthcare and educational resources is more likely to entice individuals to settle down. For example, many people from rural areas in China migrate to larger cities in search of better living conditions, including easy access to hospitals, vibrant community life, and high-quality schools for their children. By providing these essential resources in rural areas, governments can not only retain the local population but also attract newcomers who appreciate both the sufficient amenities and picturesque landscapes. While offering financial assistance to farmers may yield some positive results, fostering a healthy and stable community is paramount for drawing people to reside in rural areas beyond mere monetary incentives. In my opinion, I agree with Andrew's perspective that online shopping contributes to the closure of many local stores due to their competitive pricing. In addition, I believe that online shopping could seriously affect people’s eyes. Especially these days, with people spending significant amounts of time on their phones for online shopping, there arises a concern for their health, particularly regarding eye strain. In this case, Prolonged exposure to screens can lead to eyestrain, impacting vision and potentially causing nearsightedness over time. Additionally, the blue light emitted by electronic devices poses a risk to the retina, potentially leading to various eye diseases. For example, as someone who has experienced this firsthand, I often found my eyes feeling dry and fatigued after extended periods of online shopping. My eyesight deteriorated to the point where I had to replace my glasses more frequently to maintain clear vision. When I noticed my eyes were being affected, I decided to reduce the frequency of online shopping. Over time, my eyes began to regain their health. Therefore, I think the negative impacts of online shopping outweigh its benefits.

In response to Dr. Achebe's question, I agree with Claire's view that people will likely work shorter hours in twenty years than they do today. As societies continue to grow wealthier, it seems unnecessary for individuals to maintain their current workloads. The increasing implementation of technology, such as robotics and artificial intelligence, has the potential to automate repetitive tasks and streamline various industries. This shift allows workers to focus on creative pursuits rather than tedious labor.
