Your professor is teaching a class on human resource management. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.
Doctor Achebe: This week, we’ll be discussing how technological advances are transforming the job market, making some jobs unnecessary. Let’s focus on government actions. Suppose the government had to choose between two ways in which to support people whose jobs are no longer needed. The government could either give them enough money to live on until they find new jobs or offer them free job training without giving them money directly. Which of these two solutions do you think is better? Why?
Andrew: I believe that the government should prioritize providing free job training opportunities. Modern training programs are usually costly, which means that many people will not be able to afford them without the government’s funding. By participating in training programs, people will develop new, in-demand skills and become more competitive in the job market.
Kelly: Although I agree that having access to free training programs sounds promising, I think the government’s first step should be to give people enough money to live on until they find new jobs. This money will go directly into people’s pockets and allow them to make their own choices concerning their future.

I firmly advocate for the government to prioritize offering free job training to unemployed individuals rather than providing them with direct financial support. While Kelly's argument that direct financial assistance empowers people to make their own choices holds merit, the long-term benefits of free job training outweigh the short-term relief of monetary aid. Allocating funds to support every unemployed person would place a significant financial burden on governments, whereas investing in job training programs is a more cost-effective approach. Furthermore, equipping individuals with in-demand skills through job training not only boosts a country's workforce productivity but also increases tax revenue and benefits businesses. As Andrew pointed out, acquiring new skills enhances employability and fosters healthy competition within the job market. Ultimately, free job training serves as a sustainable solution that empowers individuals and contributes to overall economic growth.

In my opinion, I prefer free job training rather than directly giving the unemployed money as it provides updated living skills with long term benefits. Job training programs which teach the unemployed how to use document editing and online communication prepare them with sufficient and important skills in the job market. People who learn document editing can contribute to office job and involve in customer support service if they are capable of essential knowledge about online communication. As a result, those unemployed have smoothly adapted to current technological working environment and gotten comfortable with working stuffs and challenges. While some argues that direct unemployment compensation enables people to make personalized decisions, this approach might motivate people to stay unemployed as they can share the benefit of monetary sponsorship without any efforts, leading to inactiveness and laziness.

I highly recommend government should give job hunter enough money to live them on until they find new jobs. In my point of view, most western countries have subsidy to compensate unemployed people to overcome such hard time and decrease unstable of whole society, because if too many people do not have job, how do they can afford themself, and don't have sufficient money to cover daily spend, in hence , may appear some violent event sometimes like rob that may hurt somebody cause. But government give them who is suffer from the transforming of the job market for enough money support, will reduce unstable event happened. Also training programs is a good idea too , but most people do not really need this especially to these who are old hands. In all, I think give money is better than training program.

Your professor is teaching a class on sociology. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.
Doctor Gupta: This week, we’ll be looking into family dynamics. One common concern in our field is that due to busy schedules, many families have limited time to spend together, so connections within families may grow weaker over time. Let’s begin by discussing the following viewpoint: the best way for a family to strengthen family bonds is to work on something together, for example, cooking, gardening, or working on a craft project. Do you agree or disagree with this viewpoint? Why?
Andrew: I agree. Families feel more connected while working together rather than while doing passive activities, such as watching TV. While working together, family members have an opportunity to engage in an in-depth discussion and share their thoughts and feelings. Working toward a common goal, such as planting a garden, helps families create happy memories and feel a sense of accomplishment.
Claire: I don’t think working together is the best way for every family to strengthen family bonds because every family is different and even within one family, it is difficult to find tasks that are interesting to everyone. While working together, family members may disagree about how to best accomplish tasks, which may result in an argument.

I wholeheartedly agree with Claire’s idea that there may be no appropriate task for the whole family to work together, while conflicts may also occur in an unpleasant cooperation. I would also like to add that, sharing stories or experience regularly would help enhance the family bond more effectively. Above all, by sharing some excellent or depressed experience, family members could get a chance to know the day-time to-day life of others, and understand their feelings and corresponding background where their emotions stem from, which thus deepen the sympathy among the whole family. Besides, it is an absolutely more convenient and practicable as only a few minutes in the evening are enough for such a kind of talking, and having the benefits of advanced technologies, like video-call and real-time message, geographic location would no longer be an obstacle for the connection of hearts.

While I acknowledge Claire's point regarding the potential conficts generated from cooperation, I firmly believe that working together can actually strengthen relationships among family members, as those practices deepen our understanding of each other, and broaden our perspectives as well. As Andrew mentions that collective experience create happy memories , I also perceive those activities can help family members understand each other as they working together engaging in discussions and incorporating everyone's opinion in a project. I wholegeartedly concur with Claire's perspective that it is difficult to finding tasks that are insteresting to everyone. I would add that they should have a TV program they can watching togather. This approach Not only upgrade their social and communicate levels but also improve relationship with whole family mebers.
Although it is true that families feel more connected while working together, as Andrew mentioned, he does not consider that parents have to work and also have busy task. If they arrange extra program to do, they can't have enough time to finishing their job, even cause more serious problems. Consequently, it is scarcely possible to address or improve this situation through Andrew's approach. Apparently, this concept does not hold water
Taking everything into account, I definitely believe that it is difficult to arrenge the task which adapting everyone's lifestyle. Therefore, they should arrange a TV time to connected with others, just as Claire asserts.

Your professor is teaching a class on education. Write a post responding to the professor’s question.
Doctor Diaz: This week, we’ll look at practices and activities used by primary and secondary school teachers. Let’s begin by discussing journal writing activities. Some teachers ask students to keep a journal and to regularly write down their thoughts about a recent lesson or respond to a question presented by the teacher. There are also many teachers who never assign journal writing. Now, I’d like your opinion: Is journal writing a worthwhile activity to support learning? Why or why not?
Claire: I think getting students into the habit of writing reflectively can be very beneficial. Journal writing gives students an opportunity to develop their own ideas about what they’re learning whether it’s for a math class or a literature class. It could also give the teacher an informal way to gauge how well students are comprehending the lessons.
Paul: I’m not convinced journal writing is worthwhile in classes. Teachers have a lot of material to cover, and students have much to learn. Unless a student is particularly interested in journal keeping, the student might view journaling as just more busy work. For there to be a benefit, students would need to take it seriously. I don’t think all would.

I concur with Claire's perspective that journal writing is important. This is because it's an efficient way for teachers to make sure students fully comprehend what teachers have taught, making the teaching valuable. For instance, at a university in Taiwan, every student is asked to write a term journal paper at the end of the semester. The research subjects are those taught in the class. Students need to illustrate the pros and cons of the methodology they choose and use some examples to support their idea. They also need to design experiments to prove their claim and hypothesis. In addition, they need to critically think and analyze the survey they get in the experiment. Teachers can gauge whether students totally be familiar with ideas taught in class by whether they can handing a complete report.

Education, the cornerstone of a high-quality life, has been valued and even sparks a heated debate over whether students in primary and secondary school should be assigned with journal writing. In my opinion, I firmly believe that this task is essential for the future learning. While I understand Paul's concern over ponderous schoolwork beyond a lot of materials, I maintain that journal writing contributes to enhancement for critial thinking and open-mindedness. To explore deeper, when students recall what they learned in class, they refined those knowledge by second thinking. Instead of rigid listening or memorization, they would catch the opportunity to doubt some theorems' accuracy and bridge the gap between application and theory. For instance, when children are taught the concept of circle in their primary school, they may solely memorize the calculation formula of the circular area. Neverthelss, when they reflect on their mind again, it is possible for them to write down the analogy or question relevant to circle.

To respond today's discussion, I agree the to-do list is a beneficial to learning and working. Because to-do list can help us manage the time and make everything easier. My reasons are as follows.
Firstly, to-do list can improve the working and studying efficiency. By scheduling all the arrangements and important events in the list, the possibility of forgetting doing significant things such as meeting big clients or missing the deadline to hand in the paper can be declined, especially when we have been under a great pressure for a period of time. Additionally, after doing the list, we can cut it out from the paper and carry it with us to alarm us the things should be done as soon as possible. Thus, with to-do list, never will we cannot catch up with the time, all the works and studying can be complete on time.
Secondly, to-do list can help us save time and enrich our daily lives. Doing to-do list can make it possible for us to visualize the interval time we waste between handling different things every day. Only the to-do list can help us recognize and rearrange the interval time, so the time saved can be used to do more intriguing activities to enrich our lives experience. For example, a commuter can use smart phone to read several pages of novels in the subway to achieve the daily reading task, so after arriving home, he or she can use the saved time supposed to read to do physical exercise or play a musical instrument.

The essay does not directly address the professor's question about the effectiveness of journal writing in supporting learning. Instead, it focuses on the benefits of to-do lists. The essay has a clear structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, since the content does not directly address the given prompt, reorganizing the essay is necessary to focus on journal writing instead of to-do lists.

Build a Sentence
