Original: In the lecture, the professor talks about two theories of dinosaur extinction. The first one is the lack of food. The dust caused by aerostroid asteroid (发音错误,应为 "asteroid") blocked the sun ray and so many plants died so that dinosaurs ate plants died and dinosaurs ate dinosaurs also died. And the second one is because of the increase of temperature. The heat was trapped by carbon dioxide and the warmer temperature is, the warmer the egg will be. So there will be more males than females and the amount of eggs produced would decrease thus and finally dinosaurs went extinct.
Revised (140 words): In the lecture, the professor discusses two theories explaining dinosaur extinction. The first theory attributes their extinction to a lack of food. Dust created by an asteroid impact blocked sunlight, causing many plants to die. Consequently, herbivorous dinosaurs that relied on these plants for sustenance also perished, followed by carnivorous dinosaurs that fed on herbivores. The second theory suggests that an increase in Earth's temperature led to their demise. Carbon dioxide trapped heat within our atmosphere, resulting in warmer temperatures and subsequently warmer eggs. This temperature change caused a higher ratio of male to female offspring, leading to a decrease in egg production and ultimately, the extinction of dinosaurs.
