However, the male students student rejects this notion. First of all, he thinks that the universities build the bus stop on the expensive neighborhood, so if the university can change the location for the bus stop, there will be more students who take the buses. Secondly, he thinks that closing the bus for students will increase the need for parking as the students will drive to school, and additionally, it can increase the noise on campus and make the campus more traffic. Therefore, he rejects the idea of closing buses.
(The word "close" was changed to "discontinue" to better fit the context of discontinuing a service. The word "students" was changed to "student" to maintain subject-verb agreement. Revised Answer (140 words):
According to the passage, the university plans to discontinue its free bus service for students on campus due to low ridership and a desire to use saved funds for expanding parking lots. However, the male student disagrees with this plan. He argues that if the university changes bus stops' locations from expensive neighborhoods where fewer students live to areas where off-campus students reside, more students would utilize these buses. Additionally, he believes that eliminating bus services would encourage more students to drive to campus, leading to increased parking demand, noise, and traffic congestion. Revised Answer (140 words):
The man disapproved of the university's plan to eliminate the bus services. He provided two reasons for his disagreement. Firstly, he believed that the bus service appeared wasteful because the route passes through neighborhoods that are unaffordable for students. However, he argued that if the university updated the route to cover areas where off-campus students live, more students would use the service, making it less wasteful. Secondly, he pointed out that using funds from eliminating the bus service to add more parking spaces incentivizes students to drive on campus. This would lead to increased traffic and noise, negatively impacting the campus environment. Therefore, he concluded that it would be better for students to use the bus service instead of driving, and the university should make it easier for them to do so.
