Audience Profiles Advertising generally seeks to appeal to the potential buyer in the most direct way possible. By gathering and analyzing details about the customers' characteristics, attitudes, and buying behaviors, advertisers create an audience profile that represents the characteristics of their target customers. Such profiles help advertisers better define who their customers are, allowing them to provide advertising messages that are more personally relevant and interesting to their customers. When customers can relate to the message of an advertisement, they are more likely to purchase the product.
