Task Overview
Reading Passage
Environmental Ilmpact Assessment The construction of a new building affects the natural environment in a number of ways. In order to minimize effects that could be negative, the consequences of any construction project must be considered before construction of a new building begins. Using a process called environmental impact assessment, the planners of a construction project assess or evaluate the effects that it would have on the environment. If this assessment indicates that the proposed construction project would be bad for the environment in some way, the project planners may need to adjust the construction plan.
