Task Overview
Reading Passage
At our university, physical education courses are now completely optional. I think this is wrong. Physical education courses--like basketball, swimming, or weightlifting or whatever-should be required for all students. Everyone needs exercise, yet every time I go to the campus gym the place is nearly empty, so it's obvious that most students here are not getting the exercise they need. Another reason to make physical education courses a requirement is this: if students are required to take physical education, they can sign up for a course in a new sport or activity that they never tried before and discover to their surprise that it's something they really enjoy doing. Sincerely, Ellen Smith
