Today, we'll be discussing the issue of reducing the consumption of foods and drinks that are high in sugar, salt, and fat. Some people argue that the government should impose additional taxes on these unhealthy foods and drinks to encourage people to make healthier choices. Do you agree with this approach, or do you believe that there are other ways to address this issue? Why?
Jennifer
I strongly believe that the government should impose additional taxes on unhealthy foods and drinks. The consumption of high-sugar foods and drinks is a major contributor to obesity and other health problems. By imposing taxes, the government can encourage people to make healthier choices. The revenue generated from these taxes can also be used to fund public health initiatives and awareness campaigns.
Michael
While I understand Jennifer's viewpoint, I don't believe that additional taxes are the best solution to this problem. Taxes on unhealthy foods and drinks may not be effective in deterring people from consuming them. Furthermore, such taxes may unfairly affect people who live in food deserts or who can't afford healthier food options. Instead, the government should focus on educating people about the importance of a balanced diet and promoting affordable access to healthy foods. With a combination of education and access to healthy foods, people will be able to make informed choices and adopt healthier lifestyles.

I strongly agree with Michael's argument that government are supposed to educate people about how healthy diets are and provide more available choices of healthy food. And I also want to add that by reducing the advertisements of junk food on television or highway boards, the government can achieve that goal. People may be attracted to allusive appealing images of unhealthy food in advertisements therefore they are more likey to give a try if they happen to see the products. However, if the regulations are in place, the content creaters will focus on more meaningful storytellings such as healthy lifestyles, nutritious food, functional beverages and so on, creating a positive media environment and encouraging a balanced living way. While Jennifer's claim is compelling that imposing taxes on junk food prevents people buying junk food, in the long turn, I think inculcating a right idea to change people's midns is the most fundamental and effective method.

Title: 6
In concurrence with Michael's perspective, I firmly believe that the government should prioritize educating the populace about the significance of maintaining a balanced diet and ensuring the accessibility of healthy food options. Moreover, I propose that reducing the prevalence of junk food advertisements on television and billboards could contribute to achieving this objective. The allure of visually appealing images in these advertisements often entices individuals to try unhealthy products. However, if regulations were implemented, content creators would shift their focus towards promoting healthy lifestyles, nutritious foods, and functional beverages, ultimately fostering a positive media environment that encourages balanced living. While Jennifer's argument for imposing taxes on unhealthy foods may deter some from purchasing such items, I contend that instilling proper values and fundamentally altering people's mindsets is a more effective long-term solution.
