University Should Change Dormitory Room Pricing Students who live in older dorms currently pay the same amount of rent as the studentswho live in newer dorms.I don't think that's fair, I think the university should charge less forrooms in older dorms. Rooms in older dorms are small and outdated; rooms in newerdorms are large and have modern features. Also, some students may want to reduce theirliving expenses, and if certain dorms were priced more cheaply, they would have a way tosave money by choosing to live in cheaper dorms. 5.语言使用Original Answer: According to the letter, a student suggests that the university should change dormitory rooms' prices. This is because it is unfair for students to pay the same money but have different quality of rooms. Some students also want to reduce living expense. However, the woman opposes this. First, she says that old rooms have their nice features such as art stories. And the new rooms are far from the central campus. Students living in the old rooms have to spend millions to get to the campus. Moreover, she argues that there is not only one way to reduce the expense. Students can cook in their dining halls and buy their food to cut the cost.
Corrected Answer: According to the letter, a student suggests that the university should change the prices of dormitory rooms(价格的表达更自然). This is because it is unfair for students to pay the same amount(更准确的词汇) but have different qualities(更准确的词汇) of rooms. Some students also want to reduce their living expenses(更完整的表达). However, the woman opposes this. First, she says that the older rooms have nice features such as arched doorways(听力原文内容) instead of art stories. And the new rooms are far from the central campus. Students living in the newer rooms(与前文保持一致) have to spend more time(更准确的表达) to get to the campus. Moreover, she argues that there is not only one way to reduce the expense. Students can cook in their dining halls and buy their food to cut the cost.
Revised Answer (140 words): According to the letter, a student suggests that the university should change the prices of dormitory rooms, as it is unfair for students to pay the same amount but have different qualities of rooms. Some students also want to reduce their living expenses. However, the woman disagrees with this proposal. She believes that older rooms have their own charm, with features such as arched doorways and wooden floors, which provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, she points out that newer dorms are located farther from the central campus, causing students to spend more time commuting. Furthermore, she argues that there are alternative ways for students to save money, such as cooking in their dorm kitchens and purchasing groceries instead of relying on meal plans from dining halls.
