As of this semester, I have embarked on a study to explore the various factors influencing children's cognition. It's becoming increasingly evident that a child's surroundings can significantly impact their development. In light of this, the question arises: should parents allow their children to watch online videos, whether for entertainment or educational purposes? Please share your insights on this matter, considering the potential affect on a child's cognitive growth.
Paul
We should not allow young children, especially those under two years old, to watch videos. It's crucial for their development to engage in real-life communication with others during this critical period. Watching videos doesn't provide the opportunity for meaningful interaction. Even for older children, it's essential to prioritize physical activity over extended screen time. Instead of sitting still in front of screens, they should be encouraged tostay active to support their overall well-being.
Kelly
I agree that very young children shouldn't be exposed to videos. However, I believe that older children can benefit from watching certain videos, especially those that showcase animals or provide unique insights not easily encountered in everyday life. These videos can be educational and expand their horizons by offering a window into experiences they might not otherwise have access to.

From my perspective, both Paul and Kelly provide vaild points, whether parents allow their children to watch online video or not depends on the age of the children. In the case of older children who have entered middle school, they can be allowed to watch online video due to their strong learning abilities. To elaborate further, they are so eager to learn new knowledge that they watch online videos to explore a new world that they can not study on class. As a result, these students can broaden their horizons by doing so. Conversely, as for young children, they story will be different beacuse of their weak self-control abilities. To be detailed, These children are so young that they can not control themselves when they are exposed to online videos. They are more likely to watch online videos over and over again, which does harm to their eyes in the long run.

Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, both Paul and Kelly present valid arguments regarding whether parents should allow their children to watch online videos, and the decision largely depends on the child's age.
For older children, particularly those in middle school, watching online videos can be beneficial due to their strong learning capabilities. To elaborate further, these students possess a keen desire to acquire new knowledge and may use online videos as a means to explore subjects not covered in their classes. Consequently, this exposure can broaden their horizons and contribute to their overall development.
On the other hand, young children with limited self-control abilities may face challenges when exposed to online videos. Specifically, these children lack the discipline required to regulate their screen time and may indulge in excessive video consumption. This behavior could potentially harm their eyesight in the long run and hinder essential developmental milestones. (149 words)
