In the next few weeks, we'll be talking about urban traffic management.Let's begin by discussing one popular idea-creating car-free central zones. Some cities around the world have recently designated their downtown areas as being automobile-free, which means that vehicles are not allowed to enter the city centers.Do you think that more cities should make their central zones car-free?Why or why not?
Student Claire
I support the idea of establishing car-free central zones because this will result in one important benefit for city residents-it will be better for their health.Instead of driving every where, people will be encouraged to walk or cycle more.It would be a great way to incorporate exercise into people’s routines.
Student Pual
It sounds like a good idea, but I'm skeptical. My main concern is that many businesses located in the city centers, such as shops and restaurants, may suffer because the customers will no longer be able to reach those businesses by car.For some customers, if they can't drive, they won't go at all.

In my perspective, I tend to agree with Claire’s notion that setting a central zone could force residents who live in this city do more exercise. As we all know that most of the workers at city spend tons of time seating in front of computer screens and have no any chance to do sports. Car-free central zones would just make workers to ride a bike or just walk at the last part of their commuting way, not a long way, because they still could drive cars or take buses to get near the central zone. Thus it would not waste a long time on the commuting for most of the workers and also give them a chance to do sports every workday. Moreover, this policy could definitely decrease the carbon dioxide emissions in the city and improve the air quality, which is also beneficial for citizens’ health. In conclusion, setting car-free central zones is beneficial for citizens’ health.

As we all know that most of the workers at city spend tons of time seating in front of computer screens and have no any chance to do sports. Car-free central zones would just make workers to ride a bike or just walk at the last part of their commuting way, not a long way, because they still could drive cars or take buses to get near the central zone. ThusThus,(Commas after conjunctive/linking adverbs in front of a new sentence.) it would not waste a long time on the commuting for most of the workers and also give them a chance to do sports every workday. Moreover, this policy could definitely decrease the carbon dioxide emissions in the city and improve the air quality, which is also beneficial for citizens’ health. Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my perspective, I concur with Claire's argument that establishing car-free central zones could encourage city residents to engage in more physical activity. It is common knowledge that many urban workers spend a significant amount of time seated in front of computer screens, leaving them with limited opportunities for exercise. Implementing car-free central zones would require individuals to either cycle or walk the final stretch of their commute, as they could still drive or take public transportation to areas near the restricted zone. This arrangement would not significantly prolong commuting times for most workers while simultaneously providing them with a daily opportunity for physical activity. Furthermore, such a policy would undoubtedly reduce carbon dioxide emissions within the city and enhance air quality, which in turn contributes to improved public health. Therefore, the establishment of car-free central zones can be seen as advantageous for citizens' well-being. (150 words)
