Now, think about places in your country that have a housing shortage. In your post, I would like you to indicate the most effective way for the government to address a housing shortage in your country. Please explain why you think so.
Student A
In my country, there is a lack of affordable housing in the big cities. Low-cost housing exists in areas outside of the cities, but that means workers have long commutes to reach their jobs in the cities. I recommend that my government create initiatives to encourage the construction of large buildings with many affordable apartments in cities.
Student B
Kelly's recommendation is fine, but many people prefer to live in a house rather than an apartment, even if they have longer commutes. Living in a house can be quieter and more private. So, I believe my government should give subsidies or tax relief to construction companies to build small, affordable single-family houses on unused land that surrounds many cities.

In my opinion, providing low-cost house may be the best solution of the housing shortage. As Kelly mentions, providing affordable apartments can reduce the burden of young people. To be specific, as my personal experience, I once had a chance to work as a worker in a company, however, I don't have enough money to afford a house near the company, fortunately, with the government's support, I can live at that apartment at a relatively low price. Moreover, although Paul's idea do has a point, I firmly think that privacy is not a sever problem for people who need a house to live immiditly. Living at a house indeed much more comfortable than living at an apartment, however, the main purpose of the supports are to let people have place to live instead of enjoying their lives. If we only focus on that, consequently, the number of homeless people will not decrease and the problem we are facing will not be solved either.

Additionally, it would be beneficial to include more specific examples or evidence to support the chosen solution.
Suggestions for improvement:
-
Provide more detailed reasoning for choosing affordable apartments as the best solution.
-
Include specific examples or evidence to support your viewpoint.
Examples in English:
- "Affordable apartments can accommodate a larger number of residents in a smaller area, making efficient use of limited urban space."
- "A study conducted in my country showed that the majority of young professionals prefer living in affordable apartments close to their workplace rather than commuting long distances from single-family homes."
4. Essay structure and organization

-
Use clear transitions between ideas and paragraphs.
Examples in English:
- "Firstly, providing affordable apartments is a more efficient use of limited urban space compared to single-family houses."

Title: 6 Revised Essay
Addressing the housing shortage in my country, I believe that offering low-cost housing options is the most effective solution. As Kelly suggests, providing affordable apartments can alleviate the financial burden on young people. For instance, drawing from my personal experience, I once had an opportunity to work for a company but could not afford a house nearby. Fortunately, with government support, I was able to reside in an apartment at a relatively low cost.
Furthermore, while Paul's idea of prioritizing privacy has merit, I contend that it is not a pressing concern for those who urgently need housing. Living in a house may indeed be more comfortable than residing in an apartment; however, the primary objective of such initiatives should be to ensure people have a place to live rather than solely focusing on their comfort. If we concentrate only on this aspect, the number of homeless individuals will not decrease and the issue at hand will remain unresolved. (163 words)
