Student A
l agree that traditional subjects like math, science, and reading are important, but so are classes in art and music. Engaging with art and music can help children be more creative and can stimulate their imaginations. That in turn facilitates critical thinking, which is essential in any curriculum, so I am in favor of including art and music in the school day.
Student B
Sure, drawing pictures and listening to music is fun, but children can do that on their own time. The school day is too short as it is, and there is so much foundational knowledge in math, reading science and history that children need to learn;it is better to spend classroom time on that foundational knowledge and let kids explore art and music at home.

I firmly advocate for the inclusion of art and music classes in the school curriculum, as they offer a low-pressure environment for students to unwind and alleviate negative emotions stemming from foundational subjects. Art and music classes, characterized by engaging activities such as appreciating masterpieces and producing imaginative artwork, tend to be more captivating than traditional subjects. Drawing from personal experience, I recall foundational classes leaving an unfavorable impression due to the overwhelming workload, which limited my interactions with peers. Had I been subjected to such an isolating learning environment all day, my enthusiasm for education would have waned. Conversely, art and music classes fostered a collaborative atmosphere that encouraged idea-sharing and enriched our learning experiences. (120 words)
