Today, we're going to talk about environment protection. National governments can take a variety of actions to help protect the natural environment, since protecting the environment is essential for promoting sustainable development and ensuring the well-being of both present and future generations. So what do you think the most important for a nation's government to take to protect the natural environment and why?
Student A
The government should pass and enforce laws to prevent pollution since it has the potential to make the biggest impact on reducing environmental degradation and safeguarding public health. Big companies and industries are often major polluters which change the health of people and wildlife alike. By passing and enforcing strict laws that regulate and limit these activities, governments can reduce the amount of pollution, and prevent many of the negative consequences.
Student B
Even though laws sometime work but I think the government preserve natural places such as forests and protect native wildlife species that live there. Forests are home to a wide variety of plant and animal species. Moreover, forests benefit human societies, including sources of food, medicine, and recreation.

If not, there will be some unwanted consequences.First of all, with the situation of people don't care about the environment, they might throw litter every where and because there's no punishment, eventually our world will be filled with garbage. By contrast, when citizens are under the law, they will manage to sort out their trash before putting them into the garbage cans.In addition, in China there's traffic control to lower the frequency of people's vehicles running on the road. In these days, people will use public transportation instead. As a result, air pollution is reduced. Without these regulations the amount of exhaust fumes will skyrocket. Example 1: Instead of just mentioning that people will manage to sort out their trash, you can provide a specific example of a country or city where this law has been successfully implemented and the positive impact it had on the environment.
Example 2: You can add a sentence like "While preserving natural places is important, enforcing laws to reduce pollution has a more immediate and widespread impact on both human health and the environment."
Example 1: In the introduction, you can add a sentence like "Student A believes that enforcing laws to prevent pollution is the most important action, while Student B thinks that preserving natural places and protecting wildlife is more crucial."
Example 2: Add a transition sentence between the two main points in your body paragraph, such as "Besides regulating companies, enforcing laws can also have a significant impact on individuals' behavior."

Section Title: 6 Article Revision
In my opinion, the most crucial action a nation's government can undertake to protect the natural environment is enforcing laws aimed at reducing environmental pollution. I concur with Claire's perspective and would like to emphasize that such regulations should target not only corporations but also individuals, as neglecting either could lead to detrimental consequences. For instance, without proper waste disposal laws in place, people may indiscriminately litter, resulting in a world overwhelmed by garbage. Conversely, when citizens adhere to regulations, they will be more inclined to sort their trash appropriately before disposal. Furthermore, countries like China have implemented traffic control measures to decrease the frequency of private vehicle usage on roads. During these periods, people opt for public transportation instead, effectively reducing air pollution. Without such regulations in place, exhaust emissions would escalate exponentially. In essence, laws serve as a government's most potent tool for mitigating pollution by influencing both corporate and individual behaviors. (159 words)
