Professor
Doctor Diaz we've been discussing the importance of hiring and retaining highly skilled employees, but even the best employees may need to periodically update or further develop their work skills. One question facing managers is how much time and money to invest in improving the work skills of their employees. Some managers argue that ongoing employee training is the most important investment a company can make. What are your thoughts on the matter?
Andrew
Andrew l don't think that employee training is the most important investment a company can make. The company should be hiring the most skilled workers it can find in the first place. There are so many other unavoidable things that a company needs to spend money on that have to take precedence over training.
Kelly
Kelly Employees' leaving their jobs is always a risk, but providing ongoing training and skill development is more likely to make employees want to stay rather than go, in my opinion. When employers pay for training, employees are likely to feel more valued by their employer, and this can only improve the employer-employee relationship.

From my own perspective, i agree with Kelly’s point that employ training will be beneficial to the employees. As Kelly mentions, it’s true that if the company can provide employees with continual training, employees will intend to stay the company because they are valued by their boss, which can improve the relationship. Since every employee will not familiar with company’s facilities when they enter a new company, and they might make some mistakes. In this way, if their company can train these employees and teach them how to use these machines instead of criticizing employees, people might be willing to work there. In contrast, when workers are criticized due to minor mistakes, they are unwilling to stay there, and they will change their careers. And besides, when workers develop their new abilities, such as: editing some documents, they will be more skilled and be valued by the employer. The boss will have a good impression of workers, getting along well with them. Therefore, i agree with Kelly’s point.

6.文章修订
I concur with Kelly's perspective that ongoing employee training is advantageous for both employees and the company. Providing continuous training demonstrates that the employer values their workforce, which in turn fosters a positive employer-employee relationship. When employees initially join a company, they may not be familiar with all its facilities and processes, potentially leading to mistakes. By offering training and guidance on using these resources, rather than criticizing employees for errors, companies can create a more supportive work environment.
Addressing Andrew's viewpoint, it is indeed crucial to hire skilled workers; however, continuous training remains necessary even for highly skilled employees. As industries evolve and technologies advance, employees must adapt and acquire new skills to remain competitive in their roles. By investing in ongoing training programs, companies can ensure that their workforce stays up-to-date with the latest developments in their field.
Furthermore, as employees develop new abilities through training—such as mastering document editing—they become more valuable assets to the company. This increased value often leads to stronger relationships between employers and employees and contributes to overall job satisfaction. Consequently, continuous employee training plays a vital role in maintaining a motivated and skilled workforce. (193 words)
