Professor
Professor: This week, we'll study an issue that is often debated by economists. There are many large industries that, while providing significant economic benefits, engage in practices that result in environmental harm. Some would argue that economic success should never come at the cost of damage to the environment. Do you agree with this view? Why or why not?
Student A
Claire :I can't say I agree. Everyone talks about protecting natural resources, but what about protecting humans? Humans need the ability to work and provide for their families, and sometimes this means creating jobs through industries that might contribute to pollution. Those industries can just be monitored by environmental agencies. That's a win-win solution.
Student B
Paul :I see your point, Claire, but I don't think there are many industries that are so essential for the economy that their impact on the environment can be ignored or merely "monitored.” Continual environmental damage will one day lead to the extinction of species that are essentials to agriculture. That will endanger our food chain.

In my opinion, I agree that economic benefit should never come from the cost of impairing the environment. First of all, some harmful behavior to the environment is irreversible. To be more specific, many of the natural resources are nonrenewable, if humans overwhelm exploitation will contribute to exhaustion. Take coal as an example, since the invention of machines for production, coal has been an important source of energy for machines to earn revenue. But coal is a nonrenewable resource. As a result, there will be less and less coal in the world, and eventually, it will disappear forever because humans can't create additional coal. Additionally, many animals would be affected in the process of humans making a profit. This is because people see the forest as an available interest. So people began to cut down trees, which led to serious deforestation. As a result, many animals have been harmed.

Title: 6 Article Revision
In my view, economic gains should never be prioritized over the well-being of the environment. Firstly, certain environmentally detrimental actions are irreversible. Specifically, numerous natural resources are nonrenewable, and excessive exploitation can lead to their depletion. For instance, coal has been a vital energy source for machines since their invention, generating significant revenue. However, coal is a finite resource; its continuous extraction will eventually result in its complete exhaustion, as humans cannot produce more.
Moreover, the pursuit of profit often negatively impacts wildlife populations. This occurs when forests are perceived as exploitable resources, prompting deforestation to meet human demands. Consequently, numerous animal species suffer due to habitat loss and ecosystem disruption. (115 words)
