task_page.user_sample
In China, English is a significant subject within the educational curriculum, with students expected to acquire basic foreign language skills from an early age. However, it has become increasingly apparent that many students encounter difficulties when learning English, leading to negative attitudes and even abandonment of the subject. As an English teacher, I empathize with them, and I would like to propose several strategies to help my students overcome difficulties and develop interest in English learning. Firstly, incorporate students’ interest into my lessons is one of the practical approaches to address the problem. Often, students develop a dislike for English because they perceive the material as difficult, confusing, and dull. Additionally, without appropriate guidance, they may fail to see the relevance between English learning and their daily lives, which is the key factor in stimulating their curiosity and sustaining their interest in language learning. To solve the issue, I would first ask students what they like to do during leisure time, finding out if there is any commonality existing between English learning and their hobbies such as playing video games, reading novels, watching TV dramas or movies, and incorporating the contents into my class. For example, selecting a movie or a game character, then writing a short introduction by using the key words or sentence patterns which they are expected to master. During the class, I would also ask them to play games such as role play or word guessing, to help them better remember the knowledge. In so doing, they would not only learn English in a less dull manner, but also realize the connections between daily entertainment and English learning, thus become more interested in this subject. In implementing this strategy - teaching English by incorporating students’s interest and presenting the material in an engaging manner- I believe it is possible to overcome the obstacles faced by both teachers and students alike when it comes to English learning. By fostering a more positive attitude towards this subject, we can work together towards greater success.

Section Title: Addressing Disinterest in English Learning Among Students
In China, English holds significant importance within the educational curriculum, as students are expected to acquire basic foreign language skills from an early age. However, it has become increasingly apparent that many students face challenges when learning English, leading to negative attitudes and even abandonment of the subject. As an English teacher, I empathize with their struggles and would like to propose several strategies to help my students overcome these difficulties and develop an interest in English learning.
Firstly, one practical approach to address this issue is by incorporating students' interests into my lessons. Often, students develop a dislike for English because they perceive the material as difficult, confusing, and dull. Moreover, without appropriate guidance, they may fail to see the connection between English learning and their daily lives – a crucial factor in stimulating their curiosity and sustaining their interest in language learning. To tackle this issue, I would initially inquire about their leisure activities to determine if any commonalities exist between English learning and their hobbies such as playing video games, reading novels, or watching TV dramas or movies. Subsequently, I would integrate these contents into my class. For example, selecting a movie or game character and writing a short introduction using the keywords or sentence patterns they are expected to master. During class sessions, I would also encourage them to participate in activities such as role-playing or word guessing games to facilitate better knowledge retention. By employing these methods, students can learn English in a more engaging manner while recognizing the connections between daily entertainment and language acquisition – ultimately fostering increased interest in the subject.
By implementing this strategy – teaching English through incorporating students' interests and presenting material engagingly – I believe it is possible to overcome the obstacles faced by both teachers and students alike concerning English learning. By cultivating a more positive attitude towards this subject, we can collaborate towards achieving greater success. (329 words)
